Well it looks like cnq is about the only game in town for a <3" clicky AAA, so I ordered one. I've been using thier Yezl for a couple months EDC harsh chemical plant environment without issue.
I guess one of my favorite flashlights for a while now has been the 2x18650 Aurora AK-P7-3. Very bright smooth beam of excellent color and construction, it was a little more expensive than what I consider budget but the construction is excellent.

Sometimes it is embarrassing pocket fishing for a flashlight. A lot of pocket flashlight don't come with a clp but they come with a laynard loop.
I am wondering if anyone has found a little clip that one could cip to your pocket and would be tied to the lanyard for easy access ?

These are rare as hen's teeth. I have no experience with this vendor but ordered one anyway cause I could find no others, obviously I will not leave the battery in after charged. the 3.6V setting should be correct for 3.2V LiFePO4 18650 batteries...
Just recieved the 1.5A ThruNite XPG R5 dropin, it is slightly brighter than the SkyRay overall but the Skyway has a tighter hotspot, overall not worth the extra price over the SkyRay, unless you already have a high quality host and just need a drop-in.
