    LED Lightbars

I just wish there was a warm white version of these lights. Everyone is going to the 6000K LEDs, which aren't the best for night driving.

    Road Flare alternatives?

I wonder if the cheaper versions are rebadged. If I order one of the cheapy powerflares, care to compare pics? Wonder if the boards are the same. I have concerns with viewing angle on the smittybilts... Looks like its mostly triangular, which could be better or worse depending on application...

    Road Flare alternatives?

I keep searching for a comparison, but couldn't find one. The smittybilt is reasonable $ but the powerflare is 3x the cost. I may have to break out the canon and do a comparison. Sent by my NSA monitored Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

    Road Flare alternatives?

So I've been looking to add some form of flares in my roadside kits for both my motorcycle and cars. What does everyone use/recommend? For my bike, I will probably use orange glow sticks unless I find a suitable led unit. For my cars, not sure here. I haven't found any LED ones that strike me...

    Fog Lights Revisited

I agree with the rear fog lamp. Even in the rain, you can loose a car in the mist that is kicked up. Forward fog lamps are worthless. I'd much rather have driving beam pattern if you drive outside the city. Sent by my NSA monitored Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

    LED Lightbars

Well I run rigid D2's on my VStrom (adventure bike). I drop it, beat it up and lots of other things I shouldn't do. Watch rigids sales video... That is what sold it for me. I have to have something dependable, and failure may leave me in the woods on trail somewhere in the middle of the night...

My new idea for more effecient white light, the RFR.

How are you going to control the light generated by the phosphor? Remember that the blue light is exciting the phosphor and it is generating 'white' light. Its not a filter as your concept illustrates. Good idea if you can control it though. Sent by my NSA monitored Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

How to get a custom board to hold 6-8 Luxeon Rebels???

is the slug on the rebel neutral? if so just drill the hole for the slug, fill it with solder, or some other metal (maybe machine some aluminum plugs.) and then affix it to a heat sink, or a copper bar affixed to a shaded peice of metal. If its not neutral, then just use thermal tape on the...
