Well, I can't say anything for sure. But the only approaches I've seen to "infinitely" variable output are PWM, PFM, and a potentiometer (which isn't applicable because these lights are reconfigured digitally). And can't the programmable lights be set to any output level?
Of course, SureFire...
Thanks, and I agree completely. I'm just hoping for some semi-informed speculation while we wait for real data :) (also, I'm comparing the LX2 not only to the ultra, but also to the revised 2012 LX2)
Also, I just noticed that the catalog implies that the 2011 LX2 has a 5 lumen low. So there are...
What's with the new LX2's efficiency on low? The specs for the current model are 15 lumens for 47 hours, and the new model claims only 5 for 30 hours (the lx2 ultra claims 10 for 45 hours). I tested my current-model LX2 and it only gets 37 hours, but that's still much better than the new model's...
Sold: MilkySpit U2by2 w/ narrow optics - 4xXPG R5, 800 lumens, SureFire quality
Sold
I got this treasure from MilkySpit just a few weeks ago, after looking forward to it for months. Unfortunately, I don't think I can hold on to this one, so somebody can get one of the best lights out there...
For sale is one McGizmo Haiku XP-G, not bead blasted, regular (cool) tint, in new condition. If you've ever held a McGizmo you know that you can feel this flashlight's quality just by picking it up.
I'd like $400 + shipping, paypal only. I usually ship the day after an item sells, but I...
Re: FS: Titanium Ra Clicky #10004
Thanks Craig, but it looks like it's too late ;). I'll upgrade it anyway though ... in memory of the times we spent together
k13nz, thanks, PM inbound ...
Sold
It really pains me to let this one go, but it was probably (financially) a mistake to buy it in the first place. I've got to say though, I'm glad to have been able to own it for a few days.
I bought the light from lisantica here...
It looks like this has been answered pretty thoroughly. I will add just one more thought, which is that the basis for this is the inverse square law, which states: intensity = 1 / distance^2 (actually n / distance ^ 2, as the two units are apparently not equally scaled). So to find lux at...
I'm really glad to see you're still pushing the limits - you've already amazed me with each new iteration. I knew I should have got on that first list, but it never worked out financially. But ... I promise, if you put up a 3,000,000 lux light for sale, I WILL buy it
BTW ... after...
Donn's offer was accepted, but thanks everybody for your offers.
coloradogps, I tried to PM you again but your inbox is full. I just wanted to tell you what I said above.
Found, thanks.
If you've got any variety of Mako you're willing to give up (or willing to be convinced to give up ;) ) please send me a PM. Splash anodized or otherwise embellished would be a plus but certainly not necessary, and any options are of interest. My only concern is that it must be...
