    My new idea for more effecient white light, the RFR.

    sounds like a great idea, neondiod. I am unsure about the reflected beam- doesn't the Huygen's principle predict that the beam will be straight out the front as all the omnidirectional light emitted from each point of phosphor adds to the summated wavefront?

    High CRI XML.....does it exist?

    One nice exception to the rule you sensibly described, RoGuE StreaK, is the Nichia 219 which is high-CRI but can be had in a nice 4000-4500K colour....I haven't seen any others that high in CRI
