    Tri EDC vs. SST-50 EDC.

WooHoo! I didn't realize any were currently available. I had given up hope and went ahead with an order for a custom knife instead of waiting for the next batch of lights, but I said to hell with it and ordered one from the website anyway. Now I gots two goodies heading my way. Gotta start...

Question on how to buy either a Tri-EDC or SST-50

Hey folks, I just want to be prepared whenever the opportunity arises. How do people typically order one of these lights? Do you just wait for Mac to start a thread and then post that you want one and hope you got on the list in time? Do you email or pm him to get on a list? Other? Do these...

    Tri-EDC

Not sure if we're supposed to post here to get in on a list for the next batch. If so, I'd definitely like to get in on it.

Don't know what steel the blade has, but the material in the middle of the handle is called timascus. It's layered titanium made in the same way damascus is made with steel.

    What's your EDC, Go-To, or favorite knife/knives?

My primary EDC is my Gen 3 Hinderer XM-18. Also in the pic is a TAD/Strider DUK in S110V steel. I try to carry that around whenever I can, but concealed fixed blade carry in CA is illegal. I take it out for hikes and stuff:

    Question about opening EDC Knives

I haven't played with the assisted opening axis, but I've played with a bunch of manual and auto axis locks. The reason the axis lock is so popular is because of the convenience of the manual axis. With the manual axis lock, not only can you open it just as fast as any auto, but you can close...

    Spyderco Native Blade Question

Not quite sure what this post means and I don't like jumping to conclusions. Are you saying that I'm not contributing to this thread because I didn't advise him in my post?

    Spyderco Native Blade Question

The Native III, having VG-10 steel means it was made in Seki, Japan. There's no noticeable quality difference because it wasn't made in the US. But if being made in the US matters, then definitely go for the S30V version.

    Spyderco Native Blade Question

I'm much more of a knife person than a flashlight guy. The difference between S30V and VG-10 is negligible for the average user. The difference between 440C and S30V isn't as great as HOF has explained (no offense to HOF). The wire clips should work fine. The breaking seems to be the exception...
