1 AA Rubber bite collar like NEBO Edge or Luma

I'm looking for a 1AA LED light to keep in the car. Able to run on Alkaline, Lithium or NiMH. I want to have a rubber bite collar like the NEBO Edge. I might buy the NEBO Edge or Luma except I keep reading they don't last. (Bad connection in the switch or something that wears out quickly) Got...

Laser Pointer that Uses AAA or AA Batteries.

About a year ago I started searching for AAA powered lasers. [reference removed - DM51] I bought a red one for $5. It is pretty cheap (poor threads) but works with Alkaline or Eneloops. I bought a green one for $11. It is very nicely made but only seems to operate with Alkaline and not...

    Replacement Streamlight ProPoly Luxeon 4AA

I was pretty much in this situation. I had a ProPoly that I loved but had lost touch with the latest lights. So... I came here to this forum and after various comments and research bought a Romisen RC-N3. It is a very nice light and is very comparable to the ProPoly. The RC-N3 beam is kinda...

I Still Like My Streamlight ProPolymer 4AA Luxeon

I've loved my ProPoly for a long time now. Great light! I recently bought a more modern light with the Cree emitter. Romisen RC-N3. I got it from DealExtreme. $17, took about 17 days with free shipping. It is 2AA (not 4 AA like ProPoly). It compares very favorably in throw and brightness...

Floody beam, AA ...efficiency & runtime

Hey! This got me thinking! I didn't realize I could even access the lens on my Romisen. I gave the head a little firm pressure and it just unscrews! (rather nicely) So... I sat in my living room marveling at the smooth, wide beam created by my Romisen RC-N3 with no reflector at all. Then... I...

Floody beam, AA ...efficiency & runtime

That is correct sir! :-) Too many to list. For throw I have my trusty ProPoly 4AA Luxeon (still crazy after all these years) and my new Romisen RC-N3. I have 4 or 5 of the 2 AA Fluorescent, square little lights that Radio Shack used to sell and a couple of the 4 AA folding, 2-LED lights from...

Floody beam, AA ...efficiency & runtime

Well... good question. I have a several needs (of course). 1. Task light, fix a tire, look at engine, search closets (under beds, cabinets, etc.), walk around house at night, camping, etc. 2. Reading ...I do own a nice headlamp (PT Fusion), but prefer to position a floody light on the...

Floody beam, AA ...efficiency & runtime

I see the H50 Zebra light runtime: Low 2.6 lm for 3.5 days Previously, we felt the 25 hr runtime from our Gerber Infinity was pretty darn good. I'll have to look up the "lm" for that light. Edit: Looks like the Infinity Ultra is 3 lumens? So... runtime/efficiency-wise, the H50 delivers...

Floody beam, AA ...efficiency & runtime

Not only am I a geek and a flashlight geek, I am also an efficiency geek. I think about buying a flashlight for a floody beam. I recently bought a $3, 21 LED flashlight on sale at Christmas buying that uses 3 AAAs. The beam is wonderfully smooth and floody. Now here is my question. What LEDs...

    Attitude-like flood, 1 AAA, "bite-able"

Yup. I own one of the original Dorcy AAA lights before they switched the beam from flood to spot. It is one of my favorite flashlights (I use it all the time). But... it is kind of "cheap", the threads don't work very well for turning it off and on. The floody beam of my Attitude was better...

    Attitude-like flood, 1 AAA, "bite-able"

Yeah. That Attitude is a darn useful light. We took ours camping a few times and it was the light we used the most. We had other, more powerful lights, but that compact size, long battery life and smooth floody beam just about did it for most camp site tasks. I miss it!

    Attitude-like flood, 1 AAA, "bite-able"

I used to have a PT Attitude. 4 AAAs, 3 LEDs in a plastic body, flat and very compact. I loved that flashlight (until it got lost). Because it was plastic, you could clench it between your teeth when necessary for hands free. The 3 LEDs made a very nice, smooth, flood light for task work. Is...

LED traffic lights fading, LED's not working.

Roughly how many is "many, many"? 2? 10? 20? More? Just curious. I've never seen any in our city.

LED traffic lights fading, LED's not working.

I've been watching the LED lights in our city since I joined CPF years ago. I've never seen any problems with burned out LEDs or diminished brightness. There might be some... but I've not seen them and I've been paying attention all that time.

Thanks for all the comments and ideas! I'm pleased with my purchase. It doesn't get better than that!
