2 series 18650 protection circuit cut off voltage

Real nifty circuit, there. It should operate when BOTH cells are between 3.00 & 4.29 v Perhaps there is an intermittet connection causing spikey voltage that peaks above 4.29 long enough to trigger it off ? if good solid connection, recheck what's connected. Batt A + to B+, Batt B - to B-...

Which good hobby charger for Li-ion maintenance maybe with USB port for graphs?

Look into Mountian Electronics, they have one in that price range that does a LOT of numerical outputs, and PLOTS. I think HKJ uses it for his review testing. Several other reviewers here, I believe also use it.

Need a new charger/analyzer. Reviews are helpful, BUT...need help.

I own both MaHa and Opus 3100. I find I choose Opus first especially when its older NiMH cells needing charging. MaHa is so fussy, I see HIGH way too much. Most of my 'junk' cells that wont charge on MaHa will go on the Opus. The REALLY awful ones Opus wont charge either. So I am now tossing the...

Choosing the Right NiMH Batteries for the Right Application

Yes, it helps 'prove' more evidence that two brands are made at same factory. Along with weight, positive button style, shape, vent hole shape / count also helps that proof along with other aspects.

Please share your experiences with rechargeable 9v batteries.

I investigated using 8.4v and 9.6v rechargeables for our church microphones. Alkalines lasted 3+ sundays. The 9.6 couldn't quite last that thrid sunday when the low battery light showed. Replaced and recharged. cycle and rinsed three times and the batteries were totally useless.Tried 8.4v and...

    Test/Review of Charger Opus BT-C3100 V2.1

I, too, charge / test all my old junk cells on it. I noticed that there seems to be an inconsistancy in what it does between successive charge / discharge cycles. One time I might discharge 1700 mAH, the next time the same cell discharges 27,567 mAH !! Obviously something has gone wrong with...

    Alkaline Battery leak prevention ?

Kids toys today arent like what they used to be. Used to be "batteries not included", now included with try me ! in the store. I've bought a toy or two Dec 28th and it still worked ! The factory included batteries were unknown chinese alkaleaks. No leaking ones all volts > 1.5, two of four...

    UT33C Multimeter - Acceptable?

I'm in USA and found a seller offering on eBay for $10.75 for first bid.. However most offerings are for more than $14 shipped. Sound like your seller is not over charging at all. One above mentioned needing 10A current, I see from specs that this has that. Your needs are very light and $100+...

Do You Maintain *CRAP* NiCD/NiMH Cells?

I got an Opus BT-C3100 that does amazingly better than any other of my chargers in refilling my crap cells. Now I have 3 categories for junk cells: 1. Junk: Fails C9000 to HIGH ( > 2.12 ) 2. Junk squared: Fails C9000 reboot (>2.86 approx) 3. Junk cubed: wont charge in any charger but the Opus...

Need a good charger for C-Size LSD NiMH batteries.

I have an Opus BT-C3100. I have charged up my C NiCd (yea, they're old) up just peachy keen. I even did a D NiCd but only because it had solder tabs on it that reached down to the Opus contacts. One without solder tabs will not connect.

    Test/Review of Windyfire 18650 2000mAh (Green)

Is this the first time you said 'acceptable' rating for a ***fire 18650 cell ? Interesting that its MAH is nearly the same from 0.2a to 5a. AND most of them were over the cell's rating (2000MAh)

Review of / Measurement on Charger module with TP4056 controller

Three independent 5v supplies would work for sure. Possibly one 15v supply with 5v & 10v 'taps', now you have 3x5v but they are connected to each other. As long as nothing is grounded, it 'might' work.

Nickel Zinc batteries - still alive?

A few months back I thought I needed to replace my NiZn cells and so searched and found a few Powergenix available on eBay, but for a price I did not want to pay. However I stumbled onto another 'brand' made in China being sold by dozens of Chinese sellers on eBay and AliBaba for some pretty...
