Stumped on Dorcy 1AA 3led to lux mod

The Inductor in that PIC appears to be 47uH value, assuming conventional marking. I'm currently messing with a similar circuit here. Although I mainly designed it to run a single 5mm 5500mcd White Led. It runs off 1.2 to 1.5V, and will run down to 0.8V still with a reasonable light O/P...

    Cheap IR Filters??

Heres a source I found for IR Illuminators and IR Filters>> http://www.cobra-optics.co.uk/infra_red.htm They have IR Lasers also Halogen rechargeable spotlights. The 2 IR laser units are very powerful. There's 2 models, one at 75mW and one at 150mW (I might have to grab one of these soon)...

    Cheap IR Filters??

[ QUOTE ] Lasernerd said: The infrared Laser Diode in a CD player can really light things up! [/ QUOTE ]Yo Lasernerd this is indeed an interesting thought. My Gen 2 nightsight has a 50mW IR laser, focusable from 5 to 200 metres. Sadly when I acquired this sight, the previous owner had blown...

    Cheap IR Filters??

Webley445's method will stand a lot heat, by the nature of the material etc.. But I'm curious, The E6 transparency film, how does that standup to heat? in say a 35 Watt Halogen spotlight?? methinks melt-down?? Steve

IR Illuminator for a CCTV Camera (homemade)

Re: IR Illuminator for a CCTV Camera (homemade) I think CCTV gear is more sensitive to IR illumination @ or around 810nm. Link to the ones I use>> http://www.roithner-laser.com/All_Datasheets/LEDs/ELJ-810-228B.pdf Steve

Newbie: I wanna build an IR Illuminator

An addendum to my last post... I found the site for serious power IR leds. I have 2 of these, but purchased through a distributor, so took a while to find the original manufacturer. Heres a direct link to the PDF for this device...

    A Shot in the dark...

Just tried this with my old Canon UC10. I used my IR spotlight to illuminate a dark area. when viewed with the camera, light was apparent, but not much. Wavelength about 850nm. So my cam must have an aggressive IR filter. Steve

Can anyone help me ID this light?

I'm looking at 2 big ones I have here, each have 6x IR led chips in the one case, with a lense. they run @9.5V nominal, @250mA. wavelength is 810nm, radiant power is 225mW nominal/1200mW/sr. They have a heatsink mount, the 2 types I have are flat plate heatsink, and 10mm stud mount. I have the...

Newbie: I wanna build an IR Illuminator

ukpbz... Here's an extract from my post in Nightvision.. I obtained some ICI Persex, black of course, this also is indeed dark red. I cut a new lense for the 6V torch, replacing the original. An optical comparison between the Lee IR filter and the Perspex one appeared to have the same dull red...

    color infrared LED under DV

A small point of interest, the really cheap Mono CMOS Cams have a peak sensitivity @ around 800nm, a cheaper alternative to CCD types. Steve

    Cheap IR Filters??

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum. I read this thread and would like to offer my findings on IR illumination...Dead cheap Like many here, I've messed with IR Leds etc, there are only a few that can cut it, the best I found were some german multi-chip beasties, which are not bad, but about £10...
