    Hi voltage, low current lightsources

Hi all I've got my hands on 3x 0.5F, 400V capacitors. Fully charged (How i'll source 400v DC is another matter, lol) I should get 13 minutes runtime to 20v at 0.7A with all 3. I can either rig up a pair of MC-E's to run 8s and have efficiency to die for (<10% :thumbsdow- an 80w 240v incan will...

    I regret to inform you...

I've seen some of your posts mentioning Elijah, and know others with relations out risking their lives for our safety. Thankyou for his contribution in keeping us safe, and may God bless him, you, your family and his wife and child. May he know how grateful we are for his sacrifice.

Any issues with leaving flashlights in car in the heat?

IMR will behave exactly the same as conventional li-ion under extreme heat or cold. So yes, they will lose capacity. As for venting with flame due to heat alone, not going to happen if stored out of direct sunlight, sorry. Looking at temps in the region of 130'C (260F) to do that, unlikely much?

BessieBenny's Budget LED (DX/KD etc) Flashlights Review Roundup (Part XII)

DX drop-in voltage range differences? Why are they different? I want to use a 5AQ2 drop-in in an automotive application, and there's an R2 drop-in with input voltage of 3.7 to 18V, but the warm drop-in only accepts 3.6 to 12V. Different circuits or different mfg ratings?

Some questions about the Shark driver

    Excellent, thanks :)

Some questions about the Shark driver

Got one. The blue shark says it's rated to about 32V. What would happen if, for example, I connected 12 LED's to it for a draw easily in excess of 40V? Would something go pop or would the board voltage regulate to about 32V? What I want to do is connect 2x MC-E's in series which will be getting...

    UK CPF GET TOGETHER 2009!!!

hiya  Can't promise much in terms of new and fantastic lights (student... *sigh*), but it's the thought that counts :tinfoil:. Should be able to make it there no problem, lifts are out though as I'll be on the motorbike.

Solarforce L2 helps uncover Taliban weapons in Afghanistan

Re: Solarforce L2 helps uncover Taliban weapons in Afganistan That's a great story! And hats off to anyone in the military, it's not a job I'd want to do; I hope your son comes home safe. Well done for equipping him as best you could! :twothumbs

    Fenix E01 on 10440

If you want more output, the E01 isn't for you. Get an L0D or LD01. p.s: I imagine it'll blow the circuit, but if the circuit can take it you'll be very lucky to get an hour out of the LED.

    My new M2C4!!!

Well, you get out your backup light to check the laser markings. Duh! :p :D

    Fenix LD01 - PWM?

The LD01 still uses PWM, but at a much more acceptable frequency :)

    Can LED Tints change?

+1. I used to have a RC-G2 modded with a rebel, lovely warm beam, loved it; it was my "to go" light. And then I compared it to a 5A cree and it instantly turned puke green :green: Gave it to a friend who loves it....;)
