    Fenix LD20 bicyclelight

What would be good diffusor material? I'm looking for light diffusor, as the spot is now too small and I'd like some of it to spread to the spill light. I tried some clear packacing plastic sanded with sandpaper but that was a bit too harsh and cut off too much light.

2xAA light for helmet mount for biking 25-35€uros

That indeed looks good, and if the promised 100 min runtime with NiMh batteries is legit, it should suffice. Spare batteries can be carried in pocket just in case. Any other ideas? Edit: The fenix E25 UE edition seems to be 49 dollars, hopefully it translates to closer to 40 euros, but I doubt...

2xAA light for helmet mount for biking 25-35€uros

Greetings, I am looking a second light for bicycling in the woods and dirt roads. My current Fenix LD20 is mounted on the handlebar and I'd like to have a second light mounted to helmet. Form-factor and batteries, I have a bunch of AA sized eneloops so they would be the power source. 2xAA...

    Fenix LD20 bicyclelight

Slight upgrade to version 2, which is 3d printed. Now the design is hinged so the stand can be deattached from bike without tools and it is fastened with wing nut and this kind of knot bolt. The strap that holds the light is still velcro, because it was working so well. Also the glareshield is...

    Fenix LD20 bicyclelight

I'm mostly going for runtime, and flick it on high when going on a bad road surface. When snow fells, even low-mid will be enough light. Nice idea about that mobile beamshot platform, could compare different lights while bicycling by recording video with manual settings! Has anyone done this...

    Fenix LD20 bicyclelight

Well, on high this lights put out about ~100 lumens and in total darkness it is pretty blinding to others. I live in finland so often the bicycle paths and car roads are unlit, and it is pretty dangerous to drive at night without proper lights (driving in a pothole, nothing out of ordinary...

    Fenix LD20 bicyclelight

So, as I have been using my Fenix LD20 as bicycle light, I've began worrying about blinding fellow cyclists and other traffic. If I'm going to use this light on high or turbo mode, it clearly needed some modifications. This is what I came up with, made from film canister and clear plastic food...

D40A NW OR CW??? + Sillicone Grease and LockBlocks bike mount.

I'm thinking of getting the NW D40A for a christmas present for me, I have bunch of eneloops so this should be a good light for them? What I've read it's pretty powerful and sturdy, and the NW version really sounds "cool" (good). Now I just have to find a place to buy it because I live in Finland...

Fenix LD20 problem with turning on

I tried again with needle nose pliers but it won't budge... And the fall is coming so I should put Rop low bulb in the mag and use that meanwhile. I've also been thinking buying another light, sunwayman d40a.

Fenix LD20 problem with turning on

Old thread but my fenix ld20 started to act like this too. I cleaned all the contacts and tried to tighten the silver ring in the tailcap but it won't turn? Not clockwise and counter clockwise.

Will this HID set work for Thor mod?

What about 70w fast start ballast in thor, will it get damaged by heat it produces if I put it inside the host? Thinking about building a "cannon" light if I can find cheap thor type host in finland. Is 7ah sla adequate to run it?

Number of Cycles / Performance (& Life) Threshold for NiMH Under Odd Conditions

Re: Number of Cycles / Performance (& Life) Threshold for NiMH Under Odd Conditions How much will the AA eneloop take "damage" when using roar of the pelican high bulb? It has ampere draw of 4,2. How much discharge cycles can the batteries take before going bad? I'm not drawing them empty...

    The Nightsword project

Re: Superlights shoot-out 2011: The Short Arcs Just be careful with adding more inches, it may get out of control and you get a 60" monster instead of something comfortable to carry  To the beamshots and lights, awesome work. These things are just plain ridiculous! (In a good way)
