Navy Dive Light - Mod completed - BEAMSHOTS !!

Re: Navy Dive Light When I had the torch I was thinking of having an aluminium or copper plug machined, something similar to the existing bulb holder that I could fit a ceramic bi pin socket onto, it would be an easy job to fit the socket eccentrically so that you could centre the bulb...

    British Navy Dive Light

Oops lol! I shouldve said the ceramic socket is nothing to do with the torch, I bought a few of them for custom mag85 ceramic sockets. Put it in the picture just to show that it would be easy to incorporate into this torch. I bet that 3D beam wouldnt go far at 200m lol, lot of money for a...

    British Navy Dive Light

A very helpful chap on another forum has offered this info on the torch. Quite interesting to know what the depth rating is, price to the MOD is a bit of a shocker though! Short Item Name: Submersible Torch Long Description: Flashlight.Aluminium alloy case fitted with 4mm dia 1m long cord...

    British Navy Dive Light

Yeah, probably I should hotwire it! I only really need to get a plug turned to hold the ceramic socket. Heres some photos of the tailcap innards, probably the weak link in the water resistance but very nicely engineered and the simple but very substantial bulb holder. I wouldnt want to go to...

    British Navy Dive Light

Mark, I dont plan to do anything to it that isnt reversible, dont worry! I think its a fairly uncommon piece, serial nr on this one is 18 and while there could be loads of them about it seems unlikely. I dont know much about NSN numbers though I do have a passing interest in military gear...

    British Navy Dive Light

The reflector appears to be one piece with the aluminium body, machined out of the casting, but I need to have another look and see if theres a join, really is bomb proof, no problem with heatsinking. 9AA fits, I tried the set from my Mag85. The bulb holder is machined from stainless steel and...

    British Navy Dive Light

I dont often post here but I found this monster today and thought you guys might like to see it. Id be interested in any info anyone might have about it. Runs on 3xD's, cast aluminium body and stainless tail cap, seems to have hotwire potential (suggestions?), very heavy and nicely engineered...

    M3T vs. M4 vs. Wolf Eyes M90-13v

Mag85's are pretty cool too :) another reason I dont use the M4 much! With a medium stipple reflector it equals the throw of the M4 with LOLA (225 lumens) and you get a terrific flood as well. Great wow factor!

    M3T vs. M4 vs. Wolf Eyes M90-13v

Hi I have an M4 and I love it, really nice light but I mostly just fondle it and look at it, doesnt get a massive amount of use becasue of its size (cant believe Im saying that having only just seen the light after using a 4D Mag for years) and more importantly its hunger for batteries, can be...

Seiko diver sticking bezel breakfree clp?

As far as I can remember there are no ball bearings on the 007 bezel (really struggling to remember, its been a while since I had one) but a spring instead. The 6105, 6309, 7002 etc did use a single ball bearing. The snug fit/action of the bezel is achieved by a rubber O ring between case...

    Lighthound keyring lights

Great stuf! Thanks guys and thanks for offering to test one Litup, I have had a couple of them but I gave one away and I dont know how much use the other has had. They'll make perfect kite lights, I'll be ordering a few ;)

    Lighthound keyring lights

Does anyone happen to know the runtime on the little keyring lights from Lighthound? I do a lot of kite flying at night and I think a couple of these would work well if they run for at least 4 hours. Jason
