Kind of strange that with all the focus on LEDs that there has been nothing on the incan front for years and then someone in China decides to make the hotwire kit from hell.
Mine is on the way.
Wow, best news I have had all year.
Efest has a new 26500.
My AW 25500s are getting a little old and my arsenal includes several fivemega lights that were designed for the 25500. HKJ's review of the old red ones didn't look good for a hotwire like a fivemega 1909 and I was afraid they would...
Well I never saw the charger you are using, but, on my hobby charger (a Triton EQ) there is also a timer on the charge.
You set the capacity on the display and it charges at 1C for the Constant current stage. The current then drops during the constant voltage stage. I think the timer shuts...
At 3.3 volt out of the light the batteries the batteries are Dead, empty, done for, time to recharge. Once you apply any decent load the voltage drops past the 2.5 cutoff.
Check out this page to see how much energy is left at a given voltage...
Re: protected or unprotected 18650's
Do You have a meter to read the cell's voltage?
Do you plan on using the meter to check the cells voltage?
If not stick with protected.
How about a multi P60 host?
Something like a Megalennium, 3x18650 in parallel with a tipple P60 socket head.
A CrAzY user could install 3xXMLs, 2xXMLs+an XPG, 2xXPGs+an XML or even mix and match tints.
Well I took my Nichia triple into the bathroom with a light meter for some bounce testing.
With a 6P an IMR18650 and a McClicky tailcap 70 lux
With another 6P 2x18350 IMR and an Oveready ZeroRez tailcap 70 lux.
I then took a standard 6P stuck in an older 17670 @ 4.13V and saw a reading of 52...
Re: FS:New XM-L2 Shorty C/D Maglites NOW 875 OFT lumens!!
Out side the thread shows 875.
I even tried it in Firefox on my Linux box (it has never been to CPF before so nothing is stored) and it showed 875.
