Tell me more,
I like the idea of 500lm and a nice low mode. It takes a lot of lumens to light up a really dark area especially one that contains lots of water and I also need a lower level of light so I don't blind myself when working up close. So if not the P2X than what would be a good...
I've been in NY for the past few weeks for work using my trusty Surefire C2 w/Leef tail cap and M60W (oldschool optic type) to light the way through dark houses and dark nights. I have never lost a light or even misplaced one for very long but somehow some way it got knocked from my pocket to...
Like the title says, I'm looking for a new EDC light powered by 1 Cr123 or RCR123 with a warm tint LED and a tail cap switch, 150lm minimal on high. I would like to keep it at $100 or less.
I had the same question and ended up sputtering the stock reflector. The beam has a perfect hot spot and is probably the best your going to get before having to increase the head size. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=249875
I looked over a lot of options, some of them will still happen but for now I have found a quick fix that turned out better than I thought. I found the "How to" for sputtering a reflector and went to work on my stock mag reflector. Probably won't solve the problem of throw but it sure did make...
I don't want to get too complex with it, going to a mag85 would mean a AA battery pack, bulb, tower and most likely more money than I'm looking to spend. Though the SST led would give me more output would I need to change my battery set-up and would it produce a flood or throw beam?
While the tanto is good at penetrating that's not the main design purpose. The tanto shape was designed so that when the blade is stabbed through armor it can be withdrawn with little effort. Beyond that, tip strength and having a sharp edge lead the penetration are just + factors to the tanto...
A year or so ago I decided to mod a 3D mag with a P7 running DD on 3 D cell rechargable's. I picked up a reflector from the sandwich shoppe http://theledguy.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?products_id=808 to help with the excessive doughnut hole though it didn't completely get rid of it. I...
The only warm tint LED I have is a Malkoff M60W in a surefire host, like others have said its not like a incan but it is much better than a cooler tint LED. When compared to a cool tint LED the advantages of the warm tint seem to be increased depth up close and at a distance, color rendition...
I'm using CFL's now to grow some bhut jolokia's (world's hottest hot pepper) but I don't think its enough light and everyone on the hot pepper forum seems to think the same way. I don't want to go HID because of all the power it will eat up so some more info on growing with LED's would be great...
