One step up from TK45 ?

Lots of good info and opinions here. I could actually qualify my needs a bit better and take it a step further. Might make a good thread for another beginner like myself. I'm getting involved with the local Sheriff's CoP volunteer program. I'm planning/hoping to also be involved with S&R...

One step up from TK45 ?

Just what I was looking for guys - Thanks. Sounds like I'm at the turning point - if I want more now, I'm going to have to be willing to lay out the seriously bigger bucks. Jim In FL

One step up from TK45 ?

Need some advice before I spend any more money. I just added a Fenix TK45 to my collection, but I'd like to go 1 more step up, to satisfy myself. In trying to describe what I'm looking for, this is the scenario I came up with. Lets say we put a 3' dummy laying down at each corner of the goal...

Looking for a particular video and light

While reading and learning, I ran across a video of some first person demo beamshots of a strong light, being shined from what appeared to be a high balcony (in city), on to various buildings a at least couple of blocks away. Then yesterday I saw stills from that same video - I think maybe on...

    Learning to build a light

Ahhh yes. First flaw in my thinking. For some reason I was thinking that the 18650 was like putting 2 CR123s in series. Need to completely rethink this. So a 3.7V Xenon should work well. How about the R2 led ? It says 3.7 - 18V. Should I assume it's going to be extremely dim on an 18650 ...

    Learning to build a light

My light building experience to date, has been to put a Malkoff drop-in, in my 6P Surefire. I'd like to learn more, a little at a time. If I could put a couple things past the experts, and see where I'm at, it would help a lot. I'm hoping other beginners like me, will benefit from this type...

    New poster (and a question)

Hi all. Jim in Florida. I'm a competition shooter, but flashlights are a new interest. Been reading all I can (lot's here to read, that's for sure), but I admit that a lot of it's still a bit confusing at this point - but I'll stay at it. Bought my first light - thought I'd play it safe with a...

I just used a green laser for the first time today, now I want one!

(First post here) I had purchased a green laser for my AR a couple years ago off Ebay. Worked great but now has failed. I was looking at DealExtreme for a replacement, but they are all marked (>5mW) "can't ship to the US". How are you guys buying from there ? JimInFL
