    Not a flashlight, but I have a helium neon laser made by Hughes Aircraft in the seventies, serial #003. It was used to help develop IBMs bar code scanning equipment, many many years ago.

    Here is one of the originators of this, and you can buy a kit from her: http://www.ladyada.net/make/spokepov/index.html These are a bit more versatile and programmable.

    Target new lights

    I saw these this morning, and was contemplating buying the 1AA Lux, but I already have a Civictor. The K2 lantern may find its way to my house, and my old RR lantern may move to the GFs house. I bought enough of the old style lantern for all my family while they were on clearance.

    My AAA-P holds its place of honor on my keychain. It does its job without peer, and will be handed on to a family member when Peter comes out with a better version.

    Cree is based near Raleigh, so that might have something to do with this. OTOH, Raleigh can't even get a public transit system going, after decades of studies and wasted money. Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen.

    I handled one of their knives at AG Russells store once, and it seemed pretty nice. I favor the damascus, myself.

    Minimag LED release date

    Greenville, NC finally got all styles in. We usually run 2 or 3 weeks behind the rest of the country, so this bodes well for the rest of you.
