    HDS Systems #23

Definitely an xp-e. Was this ever modded? I've never seen a stock HDS with a mcpcb like that. Milkyspit bored a clearance hole for a 10mm dia 2mm thick mcpcb board when he xp-e swapped my old 140n.

Emisar D3AA, custom Triple w new AA/14500 driver w NoPWM

The efficiency high/low end discussion here reminds me of when HDS systems came out with a new driver that prioritized efficiency at high outputs (those B85 days :) ). The older drivers had something like 4x the runtime at the lowest setting compared to the same output with the new driver...

Field / Work lighting for tractor

Diode dynamics SS1/3/5 pods in the Sport and Pro models use a 4000k LED chip in the models that are offered in the selective yellow lenses. However, you can purchase the selective yellow pods, and swap a clear lens in place of the yellow optic. They do not offer the 4000k white chip lamps with...

    Very specific headlight request

Glad you're shying away from the "dapper" lights. Theyre objectively crap just from the setup. Cheap projector mated with a cheap led retrofit type bulb. The reason the koitos/other h4 based lamps shut off the low beam when the high beam is activated is because they can't run both filaments...

    Very specific headlight request

I Would avoid the morimoto joint venture with "modern" LED sealed beams. There has been some discussion here, the testing discussed by the past moderator -Virgil- said they were not a product worth serious consideration. Trucklite has made their 7" round sealed beam replacement for years, and...

2014 Toyota Tacoma headlights and foglights

Yes, the high wattage osrams Require a relay harness, but a relay harness will also boost the performance of standard wattage bulbs. While not road legal, due to the bulb being too high wattage and too high output, it is an effective choice- and not one that is likely to be noticed, unlike an...

    Glass versus plastic headlight lenses

I mean. I have several statements concerning this topic that are not compatible with the code of conduct of this forum. Suffice it to say my reply consists of "LOL. LMAO, even."

    Glass versus plastic headlight lenses

There are plenty of inferior LED solutions out now- just check IIHS testing (flawed though it is). The issue is that these are completely non-improveable. Whereas a cheap, standard sized sealed beam could be swapped for a much higher performance lamp, and then take advantage of...

    Glass versus plastic headlight lenses

What sucks about these new, much lower lighting positions, is between the lamp height and increasing combinations of sensors, mounting auxiliary lamps of any type is becoming extremely difficult to do, and this when sealed LED lamps are becoming the norm even on lower priced vehicles. I think...

seeking amber taillights for 2023 ridgeline

I meant in addition to, mounted elsewhere, not just to attempt to replace the bulb in the housing. Edit- something akin to this. https://www.opt-7.com/products/redline-triple-row-led-tailgate-light-bar-with-reverse-light-brake-light-sequential-turn-signals They're ubiquitous enough that you...

    2017 Rav4 questions

https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-sae-j581-aux-high-beam-thread.696597/ Give this thread a look through. Can't go wrong with any if the diode dynamics SS3 pods with the driving light beam pattern, imo.
