    keep the o-rings lubed, and you will be ok. The threads will not be waterproof, but it's fine to lube them to make it smooth. But in the end, it's the o-ring that will keep the water out.

    Very difficult NOT to love AAA's these days.

    I love mine. Only thing is you got to keep the threads clean, or it might flicker a little. And i have not found a 10440 cell that fits. Problem is i cant turn it off with a 10440. it's a head tight for off, loosen for lo, loosen more for high ui. Got a warm white xm-l hi in mine.

    how did you tell it's clearly not a nichia 219c? By studying the led itself, or looking at the colour temprature? 219C comes in different tints, and i cant see the sellers claim the 219c is a warm/neutral tinted led. So posting a pic where it got the same tint as the xp-g version is not good proof.

    Copper keychain light for edc

    Got a cooyoo qantum copper on my keys. So small that the weight wont matter. Also had a nitecore tiny in copper, but hated the 3 sek press to turn on, so a friend got that one as a birthday present. Both are tiny and recharges over usb. Maratac aaa cu is too heavy for keychain imo.

    Why do flashlight get anodized?

    Aluminium does corrode. If you own a alu boat, and dont change zinc anodes, well the boat will sink :tinfoil: Also i dont consider bare alu as clean, put bare alu in your pocket, and your pocket will turn black over time. if you rub bare alu at a white wall, it will leave a mark, just like a pencil.

    im usng the zebralight h600 fc on moonlight mode. When wading, i bump up the output a bit. It's so dim in moonlight mode, it wont attract much. On the worst spots i use a mosquito net over my head anyway.

    what batteries do you use? old ones? buy some new eneloop pro. Your batteries prob cant deliver the juice needed for max.
