    DIY led driver

And so you will need 14 FETs (or 28 if using N-P FET pair) to switch power to 14 7135s... Talk about increasing board space... smallest attiny with ADC is about 3mm x 3mm size. Remember that you have 14 7135s and 14 (or 28) FETs. Overall pot idea is good but WHY you don't go proper driver route...

    DIY led driver

And have 14 points of failure? Why not get one or two normal drivers?

    Looking for PCB manufacturer

I've used pcbcart several times and they were great. Edit: are you looking for assembly as well or just for PCB house? You might look at golden phoenix pcb if you need small scale assembly.

Thermal calcuations for power resistor as load

Take a look at TE electronics power resistors: Manufacturer:TE CONNECTIVITY / CGSOrder Code:1174282Manufacturer Part No:HSC1001R0J Much better thermal characteristics compared to your option in plastic body and price in 8Eur range in europe, so not a bank breaker

Help please re-wiring a driver (maratac AAA SS)

LED side - take DMM and check for contacts between Tantalum cap (big orange) and output terminals. Orange stripe is positive. Inductor side - take DMM and check resistance between terminal and inductor. One terminal should have very small resistance (in range of 0-1Ohm) - this will be your...

    5amp & 10+ LED driver construction

<troll> If you have most components, then you should not be asking these questions. Go and read datasheet of your controller. </troll> Now if you don't have controller yet, forget about integrated FET controllers and look ad LM3421 from National (now TI) or Maxim's MAX16834. Once you decide...

    new P7 driver 3amps?

are there any parts on back side? It might be risky to drive it with 10,8V because electrolytic 100uF cap is rated for 10V.

Where to buy Cree XB-D ?!

Farnell (aka Element14) is selling them in single quantities

    led driver vs resistance

You are right on this one, in my language we have 1st and 2nd Kirchhoff's circuit laws, instead of Kirchhoff's circuit and Kirchhoff's voltage laws, hence the 1st.

Why 1 watt led driver burned

Can you give us a link to driver spec? Is is possible that you shorted the output terminals of driver? Connected the LED other way round?

    led driver vs resistance

Current flowing through a resistor will create a voltage drop between resistor's terminals. Voltage drop can be calculated using U=R/I formula. Resistors does not reduce the current (in strict sense) ant this is explained in 1st KCL.

Multiple drivers, disable memory or sync modes?

This will not work for more than few moments. XM-L running at 3A current will have a power output of 3.35V * 3 A = 10.05 W. Add 20% losses in your boost driver - suddenly you have 12W. Now your 1cell AA NiMH will have 1.2 V output. At this output voltage you will need 10 amps of current. I'm yet...

    what size resister

You are walking on a thin ice with power supply voltage being lower than forward voltage drop for LEDs. Once your supply voltage drops below turn on threshold of your LEDs, you torch will cease to shine. Now if you decide to increase the size of your battery stack, you will have to calculate...

Scuba Light - Idra - conversion project - LOTS OF KB!!!

For the particular one I used photo transfer with press and peel paper. I used UV transfer before and I liked it more than toner transfer, but I don't have exposition box at the moment.

Scuba Light - Idra - conversion project - LOTS OF KB!!!

Hey all, I've just completed my latest conversion project and want to share several photos: I have started with old Scuba Light Idra torch that had halogen light emitter. Battery and switch on PCB were dead, so they went straight to the bin... It has very odd shape so my battery choices were...
