    Yep, I just got mine and I am surprised at how dim it is. My bezel was loose also, no big deal since it screws on. My led is off center as well.

    Yeah, I've been using mine on the job with the oversized o-ring for a couple of months now and it has not moved at all. The terralux switch is going strong too, no problems to date.

    You should contact CPF member "Ledean" about his pricing for the cutdown. All I can say is I am personally very happy with his work and price and recommend him 100%. As for the battery holders, "LITEmania" is selling them for $3 each in the dealer section under his surplus sale...

    Question about 3AA to 1D adapter in maglite

    I have both 2D and 3D Maglite Led's and want to have one cut-down to 1D size to run a 3AA adapter. My question is which magled module will work better with 3AA batteries? Will the brightness be the same as with D size batteries with only a loss in runtime?

    You need to watch BatteryJunction for these. Matt has already said they will be in soon and the pricing will only be a couple of dollars higher than the current version.
