What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

I have quite a few Phillips CRI 90 bulbs and like them.

Are CFL bulbs gone from Walmart stores now?

I get why someone would still want incandescent or halogen but CFL? I won't be missing those. I think LEDs are MUCH better. The main problem is probably totally enclosed fixtures that I bet EVERY house has plenty of and are in fact required by code here in rooms for storage. What are were...

    New Cree bulbs!

I noticed they don't say you can use them in enclosed fixtures anymore. I still think this is a major issue for LED lighting as enclosed fixtures are pretty common. We recently built a house and I actually made a concerted effort to avoid enclosed fixtures which wasn't that easy...... most were...

    Strange adivce from garage company

I'm using Phillips 60 watt dimable and they work without interference. I tried the non dimable ones and they caused interference with the remote.

    "C by GE" connected bulbs

That does seem odd. I just use Phillips Warm Glow bulbs which are 2700 k full on and go down to 2200 when dimmed. I find these work well for the bedroom and master bath. I am using Lurton CL dimmers.

What's your favorite high CRI bulbs for home use in 2016?

I've bought a few of the Phillips Slim Style CRI90 bulbs from Home Depot and am pretty happy with them so far.

    Cree high CRI dying

I've had pretty good luck with the Cree 60 watt equiv both the 4flow and original variants. However, I've had a lot of failures with the 3 ways. I exchanged the first few at HD but the ones that failed later I ended up having replaced by Cree directly. Right now I've moved the Phillips 3 ways to...

Philips "Warm Glow" LED Bulb: Adjustable Color Temperatures!

I'm probably going to get some of these for the theater room and bathrooms where I plan to install dimmers in the new house and CRI90 bulbs in areas where I want the better color. I hope they make cri 90 warm glow. I think Phillips has the best overall led lineup right now.

    SlimStyle CRI 90

I just noticed on HomeDepot.com that Phillips now has a CRI 90 version of their SlimStyle. We're building a new house with a lot of can lights and I also avoided full enclosed fixtures as much as I can (code won't allow in in our master closet or pantry apparently) so I'll be buying a lot of LED...

Philips LED "Basic Bulb": so cheap they sell them in pairs

I have a pair I'm using a bathroom (non enclosed) and I am very impressed with their diffusion brightness and overall quality of light. I would agree with the others that as long as you don't need dimming and do not plan to use them in a fully enclosed fixture these are a very good choice.

Philips LED "Basic Bulb": so cheap they sell them in pairs

I do think it's a little miss leading of them to put that on the bulb and not the box as you're going to make the decision in the store based on what's in the box. In fact I suspect that's why they made that decision.

    GE BrightStik led

My HD does the same thing with whatever the "new" bulb is. And they usually have 0 of them in the actual light bulb isle where someone there specifically to buy light bulbs might look for them.. I get having them in displays through out the store to drive impulse buys but putting all of them in...

Philips "Warm Glow" LED Bulb: Adjustable Color Temperatures!

Just picked a couple of these up for the lamps on the night stands in our bedroom. I really do like how they shift warmer as they dim. The only thing I would wish for is if it would dim down a tad bit lower. I can also report there is no buzzing that I can detect and I have pretty good hearing...

Cree vs Philips 3-way LED bulb

I just had one of the CREE 3 way's quit working. It just failed to turn on and I assume it's something wrong in the power supply. All of the Phillips, which actually get used more, are still going strong.

Glass globe failure of CREE LED bulb due to outgassing A21 100W, A19 60W

Nope, they exchanged it without a receipt.
