I'm just throwing this out there in case it's not known, but grease with graphite as a component is a no-no when used with aluminum.
There can be galvanic corrosion due to how graphite and aluminum react in certain situations such as high humidity conditions. This usually occurs with disimilar...
Whoops, the question was about the yellow in the center of the beam.
I called the place I bought it and they are going to replace it with one cherry picked, how's that for service?
Well ... that's hard to say, the E1B is definitely brighter as you would expect.
The new dual mode KX1 head on my old E1L body is brighter than my son's new single mode KX1 head on his fairly new E1L (not the old KL1 head).
The center of the E1B beam is fairly yellow surrounded by a nice white beam.
BTW - Also got a KX1 head for my old E1L, anodizing doesn't match but I don't care. The new KX1 head is a lighter greener color of anodizing, the body of my old E1L is grayish anodizing. The beam on this one is nice...
I have a new SF L1 CREE, a couple of Fenix P2D (a P4 and a Q2 model) and a Fenix T1.
The SF L1 CREE on high is just as bright as the Fenix P2D P4 and Q2 models on turbo if not brighter. The SF L1 CREE on high is very nice.
The SF L1 CREE on high is not as bright as the T1 on high.
My SF L1...
Thx for the reply.
I bought a Lasermax UNI-GREEN but want another green laser to play with.
I haven't bought one yet but have been looking at the NCstar one and one like this. So the laser modules on yours don't work anymore?
Now that sux. I know the floating head design sux, and want one of...
I have the lasermax UNI-GREEN, just purchased.
It pulses the beam.
The dot is bright up to a hundred+ yards and easily visible at night.
The beam is barely visible at night which is good.
I'd like to get a green mountable laser with a continuous beam, i.e. not pulsed/flashed.
Anyhow, I've...
update: Disappointed in my new Surefire E1L and L1 ...
Got an RMA for both lights today.
The gentleman on the phone was very nice and stated it might take awhile while they check each light and get a good replacement for the tint.
No problem, my son is using my old E1L at the moment.
As soon...
That probably is the closest thing to the Sportsman's Warehouse light that you will find. I also believe the Sportsman's Warehouse light is made by Nuwai and is probably this model of Nuwai light tested even though the machining is a bit different. I bet the internals are the same. The head...
I have the Sportsman's Warehouse 3 watt Luxeon 2x123a light you're asking about. It's green anodized with a black pocket clip.
The only weak point is the pocket clip. It's attached with two really small screws. The screws broke on mine after about a year or so. Of course they might have lived...
Re: Disappointed in my new Surefire E1L and L1 ...
I've been fairly lucky in the tint lottery thus far.
I have a couple of Lux lights (Surefire, Nuwai and others like Sportsman's Warehouse brand which I think are Nuwai also) and they are all fairly white in tint.
My old Lux Surefires are...
