    LEP VS LED

I've got my Acebeam W30 a week ago and it's mindblowing. It throws further than my Firefox 3 and my Chinese Maxabeam clone. I'm just waiting for some low clouds so I can put a spot on it - this having been my dream for years.

eBay fraud on some high end lights

I agree. With safeguards, eBay can me very effective. I recently had my guard down and was sent two counterfeit items. I lodged a complaint and I got the money back. I had the opposite experience with AliBaba, but then again I've only got myself to blame for not remembering from my childhood the...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

Fenix E99 Limited Edition Ti. Another AAA light for my collection. I rushed this one, as it is likely to run out within days. I missed out on the Olight i3 EOS Ti a few months ago and I'm still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger as soon as it came into the cross hairs. Such is the life...

    ReviewTheLight: Thrunite Ti3 (1xAAA, 150+ lumens!)

I'm sorry to hear that it can't take a 10440 cell. I've enjoyed putting them in the Klarus Mi X6, The Olight i3S, and even the Maratac AAA. According to various cpf threads, none have gone:poof: on the spot, though no manufacturer recommended it. It's such a common request on cpf, and it makes...

Nitecore SRT7 Revenger, is it worth it?

I'm currently travelling through Europe and I found the SRT7 very useful. It has a red LED on the side which flashes when the ring switch is off (tail switch on) and I can easily find it in dark hotel rooms. Last night we stayed in a really dark place with no windows ( a Trullo house in Southern...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

DQG Spy. I wanted something new and cool on my keychain. It arrived today and like all flashaholics, I am enjoying the hit. Pity it won't last, and I'll soon be craving more. Such is life.

    Calling all Klarus MiX6 owners!

I had mine for a couple of years. It's on and off the key-chain but it's one of my favorites. It's smooth so it doesn't grind the lining of my pocket or other keys. The best part is the strobe, which is great when picking people up at night.

SF R1 Lawman strobe experience - traffic regulation

I also love the strobe function on my keychain light. I've used it many times to signal to my daughters, somewhere in the crowd, that I'm ready to pick them up. Strobes are annoying, but great in emergencies.

    Glo-toob experience?

That's creepy! I thought I'd grow out of flashlights in a few years but it's just not happening. At this rate I will be reading my own comments in the retirement village.

Nitecore SRT7 Red/Blue Strobe and the LAW

Pepper spray is illegal here, so are slingshots. I don't know whether using a police strobe would be legal, but I suspect not. At present only outlaws carry outlawed stuff. Anyhow, let's stay on topic . The SR7 also has a great strobe which would cause loss of night vision and disorientation...

Nitecore SRT7 Red/Blue Strobe and the LAW

I agree, but...The other night I heard two people arguing loudly in the next street and I became worried when one of the men became more menacing and threatening. I called 000 (Australia's 911 emergency number) and reported the incident. While waiting for police to arrive, I heard a man now...

    Thrunite TN32 (XM-L2, 3x18650) "Thrower" Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+

Re: Thrunite TN32 (XM-L2, 3x18650) "Thrower" Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO+ Thank you for the review. I've had the TN32 for a few weeks and it's awsome. My only wish is for Thrunite to make an optional tailcap which can be plugged into a charger. It's not a flashlight for daily use, but it...

Flashlights in TV shows and movies (Part 4)

I was wondering about that. I thought he was using a Nitecore SRT7, but that would have been just too good.

    New Olights

It's a new flashlight component called a surfac. Soon all competitors will include one in their 2014 models. It is hot! BTW Did you notice the surfac nail polish?

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

Just received a Nitecore SRT7 and a Thrunite TN32. The SRT was for the novelty value, but it turned out to be a great thrower for the size, and very versatile due to the ring selector. I don't think I'll ever use the police mode because I don't want to be arrested. The red and green provide very...
