    Gearbest giveaway 30.09 - 01.10 (KlarusXT11GT & Manker U11)

My current EDC is the 1xAAA, high-CRI Astrolux A01. That one goes in my pants pocket. I also generally carry a 1x18650 flashlight in my daypack. That one gets rotated, but, on most days, it is a tube light such as the Nitecore P12GT that I won from GearBest! The P12GT is a nice light. I also...

Thanks, Sunwayman, for a great giveaway. It gave me a chance to check out the Sunwayman T20CC. It has an interesting and useful feature set that sets it apart from many other flashlights. Congrats to the winners, kostas147, Synergic and ste-zo.

    The Lounge 2016

Re: The Lounge Ghosts are pretty amazing. Modern physics has created machines that allow scientists to detect even the elusive neutrino. Quarks are unimaginably small, but they, too, have been detected. Those ghosts, however, are tough. No detection has ever been confirmed by the rigorous...

Xtar Moon RC2 (5xLED flood light, rechargeable 2200mAh) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMS+

Thanks for another nice review. I really like the clip, but the UI rates close to zero on a scale of ten. The battery is another problem. For a moderate draw application like this, 2200mAh doesn't cut it. The very popular 3500mAh Panasonic NCR18650GA is now selling retail at something like...

    Zebralight SC600Fd III Plus - XHP50

For me, the frosted lens is a plus! In a general-purpose flashlight, such as the ZebraLight SC600 Mk. III Plus, I have a strong preference for broad hot spots and bright spills. A frosted lens helps enhance both of those. I think the ZebraLight SC600 Mk. III HI is a good companion for the...

    post ya fav music covers

Love the White Stripes. They really captured the essence of Dylan's masterpiece Isis. (That guy sure has a lot of masterpieces!) Here is a symphonic cover of Keith Emerson's Tarkus Suite. With a psychedelic light show, drum samples from the original recording, and a conductor giving fist pumps...

Zebralight SC600 MKIII HI BUY IT!

Right. ZebraLight felt that a frosted lens was necessary to eliminate the dark cross that sometimes appears in the hot spot of an XHP50 flashlight. Some designers have been able to use a larger, heavily textured OP reflector to accomplish the same purpose, but there is not enough room for that...

    Zebralight SC600Fd III Plus - XHP50

I don't know the answers to the first two questions. As to the third, my general understanding is, yes, that boost drivers are more efficient when the boost is smaller. In theory, therefore, boosting a 4.2 volt Li-ion battery up to 12 volts should be less efficient that boosting it to 6 volts.

Oh! That explains why I keep getting links to every post you ever made when I do a Google search for one of the lights you have listed.
