    The most likely explanation is that the glass is oversized and unable to take the pressure. There may also be a minor defect in the glass that is the nidus for uneven distribution of force and hence the crack.

    I have bought a few drop ins a while back but have no use for them at the moment. They are too cheap to be sold in the market. I know some of you must have some ingenius way of using these drop ins for other purposes such as converting them into a desk lamp etc...so show me the way.

    Out of all the lights including Surefires, Novatac, and Fenixes, I EDC my D10 everyday. I bought one for a nurse and she loves it. I have two Ra Clickys coming and I am not sure whether I will EDC my D10 following that though.

    I have been waiting for a hds for a few years. Excessive shipping fee to Australia has put me off. I have found Man's selling thread with reasonable shipping fee and free holster. I have ordered both CRI and 170 version from him. I am looking forward to receive them.

    I gave my D10 away and never knew that I have missed it so much. I end up buying another one through Ebay. Not sure why 4sevens not stocking them anymore. I love the piston system and the ramping UI.
