    We need to talk about Olight

    Well, I own a number of Olight's. Love their side side switch and really love the new Arkfeld Pro. I work in the HVAC trade and can use all 3 lights on it. I really don't understand why the dislike for Olight. Yes, I have read all of this tread.

    do you remember to charge your flash lights during the day?

    I try to keep them charged on a weekly/monthly basis. That way I don't overcharge the batteries.

    I'm a Voc teacher and I'm always giving my students a hard time for not carrying a flashlight. Way to many young people totally rely on their cellphones. I give them an assignment that requires a light and to use their phone at the same time. They are learning, slowly. It is sad people are...

    What’s kept you interested?

    Got into flashlights a number of years ago. Got way more then I needed, got bored. Hadn't bought anything new for years. Then my favorite brand (Olight) started making some different choices and that drew me back in. Still have more lights than I will ever need. But, it's fun.

    Just saw this thread. I have had a Olight Baton S2 in my pocket for almost 4 years now. Never had an issue and love it. It has been moved out for the new Arkfeld Pro, that gives me more options. Don't understand why the hate on the S2.

    average life span of a led flashlight?

    To me they should last 10 ~ 20 years. My old Maglite is 35 years old.

    For my AA's and other Ni-Mhs I use a Maha PowerEx MH-C808M. Charges AAA to D cells and 8 at a time..

    A Olight S1R Baton II has been my go to night light for a couple of years. Just ordered a new one to have as a backup. I am a big Olight fan.

    Just 1 backup? I carry at least 2 Olights and another AA light on me. Several more in my truck.
