    That's pretty much what I was figuring. Not to derail the thread, but can anyone suggest a white light / IR light combo flashlight that throws? Doesn't need to be a monster, but 30-50 yards worth of illumination should be ok for the IR. -Teuf

    I would second the suggestion of upgrading your Gladius. I had mine done by an acquaintance here, and it has been flawless. You maintain the flexibility of options the Gladius offers, just with the added benefit of brighter light on the top end.

    I'm looking for a reasonably priced IR LED flashlight. It's not going to combat, so it doesn't need to be build like a tank, but splash-proof at least would be nice. Use will be as an illuminator through night-vision. Suggestions? Thanks!

    The DealExtreme one, while apparently a bargain, is by all reports too flimsy and unreliable for duty use. NotRegulated, from your exposure to the Wolf one, does it seem well-built enough to hold up to some rough use? -Lawhund
