Strangely the vendor I ordered from says there have been no other returns for similar failures. And they have sold many of them. Maybe I'm switching too many modes or something. Or maybe I have the strangest black-streak probability on the flashlight roulette table. I haven't the foggiest idea.
Got a new XHP35 Hi neutral module from Eagletac (from China) and yep. After about two hours of use - it too has failed.
The light failed in mid use on the high setting. In hand. Cold weather environment 34 degrees.
I use all the settings, mostly medium, strobe is fun, and high occasionally...
Do you switch modes often? How much runtime on the light so far? Also ever notice any regulation whine (a high pitched modulating buzzing sound). I seem to recall hearing this voltage regulation whine in the strobe before the light finally kicked.
Mine where D4's and indicated neutral tint. (and it was gorgeous when they where working)
As far as updates, Eagletac replied and are sending me a replacement dropin. Should arrive in a few weeks being it's coming out of China. We shall see.

Two lights now dead.

Was testing one light, all new Eagletac 3,500mAh cells, approx 2 hours of usage, mostly switching modes between tactical mode High > Med > Strobe. Then suddenly no output. Swapped batteries - dead. Swapped tailcaps - dead. Tried resetting back to default modes...
Found it :D
Hands free so one can perhaps hold a radio, or support an injured person, wield Miss Michonne's katana or eat a 12" Subway. :D Wutever, the right-angle light is simply a must have!
OMG I remember this from 2013
Today the 18650 isn't centered around my everyday uses though...
^^^^^^^^^^^ Like two Seeing Eye Towers of Mordor :D
What's great about standing up two right-angle lights like this; with two of them you can throw up a nice 180+ degree swath of light and use half the power in each.
That 3" elevation makes all the difference at ground level as well.
^^^ I really like the magnets idea. But for me, I carry my lights next to debit and transit cards so that's a no go, lest I wipe out the information on the magnetic strips.
Re: The LOL continues: Tiara A1 Pro indicator ON/OFF, tactical mode, Temp warning iss
As seen from the thread misgivings, the Armytek Tiara A1 V2 has a bit of unexpected functionality issues I would have preferred to see working but I can say I am now mostly OK with it.
I am going to give this...
The 2nd turbo mode is available only through a 3.7V lithium and needs to be set in the menu.
At which point you click the button now (just once) to enter the flashing battery type selection menu. The light will signal it is waiting for your input by flashing. Click once for alkaline/enloops...
