Sold/Expired Temporarily closed: 1C Aspheric Maglites **Now with beamshots**

Nope - nothing there since his post on 27 Nov. In that post, there was no update on work done on specific lights or target timeline, just a general "...been organizing, wiring, and polishing the parts that are finished."

I can't believe he will just disappear like that - he genuinely seemed like an honest and sincere guy from my correspondences with him ... :(

    p60 sized led drop-in's

I have one and I like it too - I use it in my 6P+extender with 3 R123s. I removed the outer spring completely and didn't have any contact prob.

    Dead 18650 (DSD) chargers?

I use Nokia ACP-12X. It's rated at 5.7v / 800mA. You can also use the common USB mobile chargers (for eg DX sku 7101 or sku 2381 rated at 1000mA) with the appropriate cable and connector.

    Dead 18650 (DSD) chargers?

The PSUs are very sensitive and blow easily - I have already thrown away a couple. The cradles are more robust and like dulridge mentioned, work great with Nokia adapters (not the newest models with the smaller pin). Bonus is, the charging rate also goes up to around 750mA.

How To Verify Charging Current of Charger?

Thanks, Vidpro for the very detailed instructions. I did try a variation of the method you suggested (i.e. pushing the battery against the spring) by inserting an RCR123 into the 18650-length slot so that only the -ve of the cell was touching the -ve charger contact and using the leads to...

How To Verify Charging Current of Charger?

If the cell is in a cradle (for eg. the DSD charger), does that mean I will need to remove the cell, connect a wire from say, the negative tab to the negative end of the cell and then use the DMM leads to complete the circuit? I just tried it but had problem getting a reading.

    New Territory; 18650 Incan...

I agree with the general sentiment here that if you don't want to be disappointed with your incandescent outing, you need to go with at least 2 X 18650. I have tried the 3.7v offerings from DX and they have been disappointing. Although they are labelled at 10W, I measured the current at 2.1A...

How To Verify Charging Current of Charger?

Prob a very basic question but how do I go about checking the actual charging current of my (LiIon) charger? I have a multi-meter. Do I just set it to measure current, switch on the charger and then touch the leads to the respective charging tabs/springs on the charger? Didn't want to try it yet...

    p60 sized led drop-in's

Re: p60 sized drop-in's It's a little tricky holding the button and twisting at the same time so I prefer to just switch on the light and then quickly twist off and on again to move to the next mode. Having said that, these multi-mode drop-ins tend to be easier to use in a reverse clicky light.

    p60 sized led drop-in's

Re: p60 sized drop-in's I have already ordered one of this:- http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8807 You may be able to find others that have a max input of 6v (for 2 X CR123A) but this is the only multi-mode drop-in I have come across so far that can accept 2 LiIon rechargeables.

    Mag c/d dropin

I am lost . What is this G4 mod you are referring to and where did you come across it? Do you mean G4 as in the G4-pin bulb holder or is it a model of a flashlight? The only G4 used in this thread refers to G4-pin bulbs which use a G4-compatible bulb holder such as the ones sold by Kiu.
