Will This work with an 8AX body and a KL7 led conversion bezel? I have been wanting to use my L7 for a long time now (first SF light I owned), but have not been able to locate a source for NiMH B90's nor an adapter to allow for use of 18650's, it looks like my hunt for that adapter may be over now.
Greetings fellow CPF members,
I have a question for those who do modifications: has any one done a mod on a Surefire L7 to run on a lithium ion battery pack with a more efficient LED/driver combo then what is stock? My L7 has sat on the shelf unused for the last 3 or 4 years because the B90...
Re: FS: Homemade Surefire A2 Aviator LED rings (2nd Run) *OPEN*
Hey Mike, What kind of packaging are these coming in? I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my UV ring.
No, I am referring to a brand new in box SF U2 ultra on ebay that has a B series body tube. The one I nabbed off ebay about a year ago was an A series body tube, so I must've gotten lucky. It seems like there were several iterations on the A series tubes as in there were 2 different "U2 digital...
I was cruising through ebay this morning and noticed that one of the many U2 ultras and noticed that the serial number is now starting with B. Does anyone know when surefire started to serialize U2 ultra lights with a B series serial number (it has the new SSC LED). What is strange is I have one...
anyone try one of those aftermarket b90 batteries from that ebay seller yet? I am hesitant on buying anything NiCd these days, I would much rather go with a NiMh replacement
Is it me or is it the case that surefire is using K2-TFFC leds in their AZ2 and Z2S lights? I could have sworn that I saw the TFFC when looking at the milspecmonkey video of surefire 2010 shot show products.
I work in the theater, so I actually need the pliers as well as the screw driver (and all the extra bits). Otherwise I would have gotten a freestyle (cx)
I would have to agree, I just wowed a parent with the low mode on my LX2. The parent literally went "wow" when he saw how much light was coming out. This was compared to one of those cheap 2 D or C cell incandescent plastic lights.
Per the data sheets for the K2/ K2 TFFC and the assembly guide for the K2/K2 TFFC, there is a "Discontinued" water mark on every page of each of the mentioned PDFs. Is this the end of an era? Does this mean the luxeon rebel is Philips last stand against cree and seoul?
I have had one for about 5 months now and have to say I don't mind dropping almost all other tools except pliers, knife, and bit driver. It is now my EDC multitool and I still haven't managed to dull the knife blade.
Or the L7 just hit the redesign bench and may be re-released with a better LED and a Li-ion battery. I must have purchased one of the last L7s made about a year ago then.
