Fluorescent Tube Operation
Thanks for the help, guys. I think my fixture has a starter, so I could have a bad starter and/or bad ballast. Sounds like it would be easier to replace to whole thing.- Lightmeup

This is turning into a nightmare already. I tried to contact DX through their email system, but it won't let me send them an email because I don't have one of their offical order numbers to plug into their system. There's no way to just send them a customer service type email. How ridiculous. -

Best color rendition CFL's
I also bought a case of these. They seem to be good bulbs, but I find the color a little too white/blue for most normal home applications. OK for a workbench or maybe the kitchen though. I wish that seller would get some 3500K bulbs. He used to have some, but switched to the 4100K versions.- Lightmeup

Ripoffs on TV
The most ridiculous one to me is the Riddex pest repeller. Supposedly it will drive bugs and rodents out of your home just by plugging it into an electrical outlet. Duh! If it actually worked, Orkin would be out of business and you wouldn't see any bugs or rodents in restaurant kitchens at night.
