GPS Bushnell BackTrack? (Hiking, Camping, Lost car in parking lot)

Hey, I brought the Backtrack with me this summer when I went camping. It worked great, although it's/mine? was not super accurate. It would bring me back to my campsite, but it would be around 10-20 metres off from exact spot i locked into. I think that is part of the GPS and it's error...

    razor blade or electric shaver?

Both. I use the Mach3 for the sides/straight-aways and switch to the electric for rounded parts like chin and under nose. The razor gets through longer hair easily, while with the straight foil, even with the long hair trimmer, takes a few passes. I have found that while the three disc system...

Talk me out of getting a Fenix TK45 - but name an alternative!

Having said that, I wonder why they don't do away with the battery carrier all together and just mold the inside of the tube to accept AAs like a remote control you know? Or like a digital camera that takes AAs. I just find it fiddly.

Talk me out of getting a Fenix TK45 - but name an alternative!

Hello, I've had my tk45 for.. maybe a month now, took it camping up to Bon Echo provincial park for a few days and it was my go to light. Even at the "medium" setting it was MORE than plenty to navigate my way down a few paths to get to the outhouse. And on Low you can let it run for a few...

How candle power forums is draining my wallet... V1

Just did a quick count, 10 lights. Man... the numbers sure to sneak up on you eh? It's crazy cuz I'll ask my best friend if they have any lights and their response if "um... i might have one squirreled away somewhere... dunno hafta look" currently eyeing the Zebralight h501 and some of those...

Epic AAA Run-time test (low level only!)

Wow, I can't wait for the results of this, I was actually in the neighbourhood for a candle style of light to put in my tent as a "on all night" sorta night light. The Zebra looks intriguing. Maybe off topic, but what are the lumen levels for the low mode for each light? How many lumens would...

    Fenix TK45 Question.

May I suggest looking into a headlamp? For me I discovered this while camping, it's easier to have two hands then trying to armpit/mouth a flashlight and setting up tents, hawling water from the source etc. Oh and found that In the woods, it's SO dark that for me it's not worth paying for 600+...

    Fenix TK45

Wow, some nice camera work, you managed to get everything upclose in focus with no blow outs/fuzzy, good stuff! On a side note, I thought they changed the head so that it was unremovable in the production version, I just never bothered to try it on mine *shrug*. Thanks for the review!

    What's the Best "Shake" Flashlight

"but I DO worry about the internal batteries" do what I did, take a screwdriver, undo the four screws holding it, slide out the cover, take off the top hood, then take a soldering iron, unsolder the connections to the batteries, and chuck the batteries. then get some eneloops, and resolder...

    What's the Best "Shake" Flashlight

Hi, I have one of those Nightstar flashlights, I keep it in the car, but honestly, it's a pain to use. It works great for the first... mnute or so after you shake it, very well actually, but after a few minutes the term "night star" suits is perfectly. It starts to go down in brightness...
