    IP68 Toggle Necessary?

No - but I still used them - an extra couple of £ to potentially save a £££££ dive light!

    Aspheric mag.

Well - I actually got to dive with this light at long last - what can I say..................WOW This is definately my light of choice now. The xml / Ahorton was / is a great combination - but the 44mm lense is the next step up. If you want a simple light (light sabre) for dirty water - this...

    Dive Rite LED Upgrade

I don't have access to a lathe - so I used electrical conduit joiners to space the lense from the led & the outer lense, wrap this assembly with insulation tape & pushed it in a section of 1 1/4" water pipe!

    Dive Rite LED Upgrade

I guess he is using multiple LED's - possibly XML's. This is a problem with optics in the small head - as the beam angle becomes wide. OK in clear water, but scatter in poor vis!

    Dive Rite LED Upgrade

You need to use a spacer to stand the lense off the single XML LED. I think it was about 15mm from the LED dome. You place this behind the original flat lense. I don't think the present collimator will effect the pressure rating.

    Dive Rite LED Upgrade

+1 with the XML & Ahorton I have done a couple of these - and for poor vis - it is a great mod

    Aspheric mag.

Well - all complete, bar fitting it to a canister & although the change in focal length is a pain - it is still an impressive light. Pressure tested OK I have left it out of focus a small ammount - to get a slightly larger hot spot & it looks great. Much brighter than my xml / Ahorton...

    greenforce diamond mod?

+1 on the Ahorton aspheric - a great pieve of kit. MUCH better then the 28mm aspheric from DX. I cant advise on the LED though.

    Aspheric mag.

It looks like the lense has changed slightly - for the worst The focal length is about 20-25mm, instead of the 15mm in Packs first build. I guess this will make it less efficient. This makes assembly a bit of a pain in the Mag, as i have to push the heat sink inside the battery tube, instead of...

Umbilical canister became pressurised during dive - why?

Thanks - you have been a great help. I assume if will be about .5A - but I can't test it. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2

Umbilical canister became pressurised during dive - why?

This is teh way forwards for me - I'll only use the fast charger if I need it (1-2 times a year) & use the wall wart (.5A) for the rest! Now I have 2 battery packs - so it should never be a problem. The wall wart - although it claims 12v, is putting out 18v which seems a little high to me. I...

    Aspheric mag.

Well - it looks good - the replacement lenses have turned up & they look correct. I hope to check it infront of the LED within 2 days - but by eye - it looks like a aspheric of the dimensions on the DX site - so panic over!
