    Zebralight H51

Re: Zebralight H51 details/preorder!!! That could be why there's no 14500 support. The circuit's probably custom tailored to a AA NiMH... And Eneloops can handle it. :o

Re: Zebralight H51 details/preorder!!! Should make a nice set along with the SC50. Very Nice!!!

Zebralight H501 now with strobe mode and "warm white" LED

Same here. The strobe is much more visible to cars than constant on. As long as it's a hidden mode, I think it's great. Good work Zebralight!

    new ZebraLight H30 UI etc.

Looking forward to the H501. If you get an approximate release date, please let us know.

    Zebralight delivery time

Website lists both lights as out of stock, and there is no way to order. That sucks, I wanted to get a Q5 before the end of the month.

    ZebraLight H50 - impressions thread

Could also offer more than one version (one for flood and one with more focus), and leave the rest of the light alone. I always carry two headlamps anyway, since a headlamp is too fundamental to have only one.

Be real careful on that trail! I'd hate to see your ZL get dented. :)

+2 on the rotating guard idea. Excellent idea!!!! Alignment might be an issue. Maybe it could be built into the housing, and a twisty (or clicky) switch placed on the other end instead.

OK, Rebel or Cree Fenix LOD???

I might have gone with an LF2 if I hadn't seen beamshots of the LOD-CE, which are misleading. They don't show the numerous faint rings off to the side. Hot spot is pretty smooth (not perfect), and what I'll call the corona is pretty smoth also. But then come the rings of saturn. I would like a...

    Rayovac 1AA Sportsman Xtreme finally!

Very nice beamshots!!! Thanks. I'm still liking this light (especially the form factor), but like so many others I'm waiting on the Zebralight.

L0D CE owners: Can you see it flicker?

I notice it, especially on low and when there's relative motion between the beam and nearby landscape, such as when indoors. It doesn't bother me, and I wouldn't be put off from purchasing this light because of it. It's an excellent keychain light.

    Zebralight Summary

Nice beamshots!!! Thanks. From the first post on this thread: "Beam Type: Flood, no reflector or optics used." By TIR, I assume you mean total internal reflection (i.e. optic). So you have a small optic on there then? It's impossible to tell from the pic.

    Black Diamond Gizmo?

I recently bought a PT Fuel from REI. $25 plus shipping, but not sure about shipping to Canada. It uses 3AAAs, but they're arranged cylindrically. It's very comfortable, and doesn't feel overly tall like the standard 3AAA lights with the batteries arranged in a plane. It is about 60 - 65% of...

Going camping - Princeton Tec Apex or Fenix 2LD-CE

Good advice!!! I always pack two headlamps. In the outdoors, a headlamp is the most fundamental lighting tool, not a flashlight. You can also have one headlamp that has more throw than the other, rather than have an extra for use only as a spare. You can also use a headlamp (that doesn't have a...

PT EOS Seoul & Reflector Mod Writeup

I've done a lot of experimenting with the stock optic and satin scotch tape. There is this stuff that provides very mild diffusion, and I use two coats at right angles applied directly over the optic. It's 3M Scotch satin finish giftwrap tape. This is not the regular satin stuff, it looks almost...
