I am thinking that is what I am going to have to do. Do you have a rough estimate on how long that process usually takes? I am going to need a small red light for an over night hike that I have coming up on the 23rd of October.
Thanks for your help Robyn!

Thanks for all your help!
I think it is sealed with epoxy. Is the black material around the contact the epoxy?
It is a gold contact with an "H". I assume that the "H" is for high power.
The foam donut is in there but I can tell it is starting to break apart a bit. However, when I put the snow...
I just now tried swapping the batteries and the problem still persists. I have also tried 3 different brands of brand new battery in the red Matterhorn to no avail.
The head is sealed and epoxied. I guess I will have to drop the coin on the Deoxit. Hopefully that works.
Any other things I...
Thanks for the input. I have the lug body on both of my Matterhorns.
I am not really set up to try soldering anything. Maybe I'll try a little more thorough cleaning.
Another interesting tidbit...
It dawned on me that my other Matterhorn was up in my truck so I ran up there to try swapping the bodies (the other Matterhorn is has a snow LED). I put the red head on the other body and it still flickers. The snow head works fine on both bodies. So it seems I...
Peak Gurus,
My beloved Peak Matterhorn with red LED started flickering and getting weak two nights ago when I was reading a map. I replaced the battery on the spot and it still did the same thing. I figured if it wasn't the battery that perhaps it just needed a good cleaning.
Fast forward to...

Re: Anyone find 1xCR123 lights too big in the pocket?
I carry an HDS EDC clipped in my pocket everyday. The Peaks are very nice if you want to carry in the pocket.
Thanks a million! I was able to pick up a spare tailcap for my beloved Seoulmated U60. Now I am covered just in case.
I have the early "type A" tail cap and that is what I ordered, but are all of the tail caps interchangeable?
