    Have you tried bridging the tailcap with a copper wire and seeing if it's the tailcap? You're taking it out of the equation then. I had a bad tailcap causing it on my Predator 2.5, and they sent me a new one. It's been fine ever since, and flicker free.

    I think I've actually misplaced it. I hope I left it at work. She was using the Thrunite archer. I had to give her something to do, or she would have went after the camera. Good to know! Yeah it took me a while to get it after my first one was slightly defective. Thanks!

    I only have the X45 for comparison- and it's a different design, with no tailcap and no spring in the bottom of the battery tube.

    I'm pretty sure that's what the problem was. I can't say if it fried your light, I'd put in a second set of batteries and monitor it very closely. I would definitely not use the tailcap as the entry of the battery carrier any more. I never had cells heat up or short, I just had a hard time...

    Thanks... just decided to add my two cents. Moral of the story- do not trust tints or output levels on video from a camera that is using auto exposure and white balance settings.

    Honestly I don't see all the hate with the tints I feel like mine is perfectly acceptable. It is not the most perfect tint ever... but the horror movie greens and purples people are describing to me are waaay over the top. My video is a fairly accurate representation of how it looks outdoors...
