    Quality on the really cheap lights is pretty hit and miss. My experience is that you are better off paying just a little more to get a much better product. I've had good service and good product from shiningbeam.com Blaze X for $27 with CPF discount is amazing value.

    The really low mode on my Zebralights is good as an alternative to trits. I can set it down at night and easily find it. I wish all my lights had this.

    I don't like warm lights at all. Ideally for me, I'd like 5600 degrees Kelvin i.e. photographic daylight. Sounds like I should be looking for something with a Nichia 219. Maybe a Peak LED Mule is for me.

    Photon ReX. You must try this light to fully appreciate how cool it is. For lightweight travel, everything else suggested here is kind of heavy.
