I agree with you! I have a Wowtec A6 18650 light in my pocket all the time at work. It will outshine and outrun any AA light made. It is about the same size as a lot of the older single AA lights I used to carry but they started making those lights too tiny and I have larger hands. The smaller...
Welcome Back!!
Great review!! I just got my first two Convoy lights and I am very impressed with them! Great value for the dollar in my opinion!!!:geek:
I forgot how expensive most Surefire lights were. Most of them are beyond my reach budget wise unfortunately. They seem to be designed more for the military then personal use. I liked the looks of the yellow G2X but it was CR123 only. It looks a lot like the one I had years ago that I purchased...
Oh yes, I know! That is just a matter of how Surefire wanted to design their lights. I just lost my taste for CR123's. I will take a look at the current models, thanks!
This is my current brightness king for 2AA lights and I guess I will stick with it for the time being. I do not know if it puts what it claims on two AA's, but it is brighter than my others. It also claims 1500 lumens on 2 14500's. It is the Manker T02.

I used to have three Surefire lights. All were top quality but none of them would take a rechargeable battery. They were all CR123. I got rid of all three and have not looked at any of their lights in years.
The first three I bought were the Guider, the Sniper, and another that took 3 CR123's which I no longer have. When I stopped using CR123's I went all rechargeable and that one was an oddball! Mine were all LED's from the start though. Several years ago there was somebody selling several of them...
I guess they are not too old school, but they are the first lights like this I have purchased in years that did not have a USB port on it for charging the battery internally. They are also a little over built (nothing like my old WolfEyes lights!) and were not made to be as tiny as possible...
Well after starting with a quest to get a new 2AA light, my gears shifted and I ended up with a Convoy C8+ AND a Convoy L21B! These are two really old school lights but I love both! I have not bought lights like this in several years!! The new AA has been put on the backburner. I looked at a few...
Well, after reading all of these posts (Thank you to everybody by the way!) A few of you mentioned a Convoy light. I have always wanted to try one but could not find a US source for the ones I liked.... until today! I ended up buying a Convoy C8+ SST40 from Amazon and should have it Wednesday...
