L30 drop off the end of the world?

I will be writing a review on the L30 sooner then later. I am actually working on doing reviews for a bunch of lights, but have had some delays. The reviews will include beamshots, lightbox readings, lux at 37.5 feet, run times, and startup times, etc. There have been a few issues I have been...

    Governmental Regulation

Wayne the original owner of Amondotech and I had several talks about this in the past. He seemed to think most manufacturers were more concerned with litigation then government regulation when it comes to really bright lights. Those were his thoughts not mine. I think that the people that like...

HELP!: TITANIUM INNOVATIONS ILLUMINATOR HID SPOTLIGHT Problem

Be sure you have the switch off. The Illuminators were not designed to charge while being on. It is easy to accidentally hit it and turn it on. Be sure the SpecLin Charger has an output of 13.8V. If you need to replace the battery, they are rather inexpensive. Take Care, mtbkndad

    Polarion 2010

Ken, The night reaper looks great and I agree. It is best not to mention items in the works until they are actually in production for a couple reasons. 1. Too many things can come up that effect time tables and then people get frustrated. 2. With a company like Polarion, others may look to...

    VSS-3 at 1.75 miles

I remember when Larry brought his to the early Spring So. Cal get together a few years back somebody put their hand in front of it and got a "sunburn" on their fingers. I am always EXTREMELY careful to be sure nobody is near the front of the unit when operating it. Take Care, mtbkndad

    VSS-3 at 1.75 miles

Two 12 volt deep cycle batteries power the tank light. Actually the lights are not too hard to come by, it is the control boxes that are rarer then chicken lips. :D Do you have a source for extra control boxes? Take Care, mtbkndad

    800 Lumen LED Spotlight

I agree, people will end up getting shot carrying a light like that. Law enforcement officers will this is it a light mounted on a gun. Take Care, mtbkndad

    VSS-3 at 1.75 miles

Hi Everybody, I realize it has been over 2 years since I actually started a thread. Life has been challenging, but I will not bore you with that. On halloween I pulled out the VSS-3 and used it like a search light. This year I decided to document its illumination capability. You will quickly...

Need a Spotlight to Turn Off Streetlight Photocell

This is a bit out of your price range, but the Titanium Inovations Mega Illuminator can run plugged in to AC. http://www.batteryjunction.com/mega-illuminator.html It has a very tight spot that can be directly focused on the photo sensor and 100 feet will be no problem if the sensor is facing...

300 Watt HID. The "Locator" - Blackhawk Targeting Light

That would be fun. I found out the rating for my tripod head is actually 54lbs so we could get the same angle with it too. Take Care, mtbkndad

    Help! N30 battery stuck

You can squeeze the tabs with one hand and then pull the body out with the other hand if you have strong fingers or fingernails. I have also found that pushing the tabs back once you squeeze them works very well too. Take Care, mtbkndad

    Help! N30 battery stuck

The body key is caught in horizontal portion of the keyway. Check and see which side is caught. You can gently pry it. but squeezing it at a 90 degree position to the tabs can help. It does take a good amount of force to pull it out, but it will come out. Believe me I know :D . The ABS that...

Mountain lion defense for a CA friend of mine

Green and The Santa Monica Mountain recreational area was one of the areas where the radio tracking study was done. Just think, big cats regularly walking around at night behind the back yards of homes and sleeping unnoticed in bushes at the sides of VERY well traveled trails during the day...
