Review: Nitecore BR35: double-headed bikelight, 1800 lumens, beamshots, compare

How quickly will the light flash? I am interested in using it as a tail light during the day for long distance touring. As such,it needs to be very bright to be noticed far away in bright sunlight and last all day.

Where did all the oldtimers go.

I use to be a regular contributor a decade ago but now go on CPF only sporadically. My light collection would now be more appropriate in a museum. I still have some of the very first production runs of many foundational lights that defined CPF history. I joined in 2000 and initially was...

Help! Need replacement Quantum Tunneling Composite pads for Veleno Designs light

Help! I have used a Veleno Designs DD as a necklight for years. I have also given out many as gifts and they are all heavily used. Unfortunately, the Quantum Tunneling Composite (QTC) pads for the D series lights have worn out. Since the QTC has a compressible structure, repeated use over the...

Flashlight Holder Mount For Bicycle Handlebars

FYI, Fenix is now in their third model revision for their handlebar mount. I have used all three models and their latest version is by far the best. It is the same mount used in their new BC30 bike light, which by the way, in my opinion, is the best valued bike light on the market. Sent from...

    Scam? 300-hours @ 300lm.. on 1 D-cell. (Triatholight)

I read the entire comments thread on Kickstarter, and this CPF thread, and based on my 15 years working with LED flashlights, I have come to the conclusion that this project is interpreting the laws of basic physics in a manner that is contrary to what I learned in graduate school.

    Niteye Eye15 Owners

I am hoping that Fireclaw18 will share how he took apart the Eye10 as I would like to get rid of most of the detents. I like detents only at strategic locations that correspond to 0, 50, 100 % of output. Regards

Small Travel Charger for AA Eneloops

I have been looking for small travel charger too. The Apple AA charger is by far the smallest that I have found and it has good reviews. Charges two batteries in about five hours and has foldable plug. $30 with six low discharge batteries.

Most innovative LED flashlight ever ... at the time I bought it

Glad to see other old timers like me posting on the board . . . I remember Eternalights very fondly. I still have the very first Eternalight model ever made. By far, the most innovative LED light ever was the ARC LS, the first high flux light that is the forerunner of all modern LED lights...

Nitecore EA4 Pioneer review (cool white)

Re: Nitecore EA4 Pioneer review Perhaps I have missed it but can someone please post a comparison picture of the EA4 along side some other popular sized lights. I cannot get a good idea of how big (or small) it really is by just the description. I like the idea of a 4AA light but not if it is...

Looking for someone to replace emitter on my Surefire Titan T1A

I love my Titan T1A but would like to bring it to modern standards. I am looking for someone to swap out the emitter for something that is more efficient (XLM?) and which produces a more narrow beam (less flood). I prefer neutral to slightly cool tints. Please contact me if interested. Regards.

Surefire T1A Titan still worth it?

I own several control ring lights including the new Jetbeams and Sunwaymans. The T1A is by far the highest build quality. The control ring is the smoothest and most precise of them all. It is also quite compact. It has been one of my most favorite lights although I wish for a little more...
