    Yes, the initial turbo output level is annoying. Agreed. In addition to keeping your eyes closed, covering the front glass with a finger helps subdue the output. This also has a secondary value: it generates a pseudo red effect when on low which is said to better preserve night vision.

    My limited experience found that cats seemed to find green light lasers rather boring, but let us know your results. Maybe my mom's cat has some sort of color vision deficiency and it is peculiar to just her's.
