Thanks for the impressions.
Maybe some beamshots can follow.
Before i orderes the Neteye MSC20 i thought about the Fenix PD35 but didn't want to wait.
Maybe this light will be my next EDC.

Ok - new materials exist and there are "good" plastic lamps.
But never the less there is no plastic that has nearly the heat dissapation rate of metallic material.
And heat has to be lead away e.g. by metallic insert. (affecting high-power lights)

Now my MSC arrived and i am very happy so far.
I don't want to repeat what is already written x-times in other reviews but i want to tell my personal experience.
18650 protected battery
After unboxing i tried to put in my 18650 Enerpower protected 2600mAh battery (button top).
It's very tight...
Thank's a lot.
Today i received my MSC20 and the 18650 Enerpower Black 2600mAh.
 The batteries are too fat. I had to stuff it into the casing...
Then i removed the plastic sticker and this helped. Now it could be pushed out back by shaking.
I will post somes pictures here or in an own...
...and your mindset.
I like double check / safety and even if my flashlight has built-in protection i use protected batteries.
But maybe that's kind of :duh2:

For "safe batteries" i would recommend "protected" batteries. I only use "protected" ones.
I wanna feel "save" and have reliable and easy-care batteries...
Because of the better voltage level when dischargin i prefered "2600mAh" for my Niteye MSC20. But MSC20 is a smaller one.
If you could...
The weight of alu is about 2 times weight of plastic.
The specific weights are: (sorry for SI units)
Plastic (avg.) ~1,35 g/cm³
Aluminium ~2,70 g/cm³
Anyway i would prefer alu because of haptic and most important heat dissapation.

I didn't understand the indicator function in total...
Please correct me if i am wrong:
- no indication: control ring and also button are off
- indication: control ring off and button on
- no indication: control ring and also button are on
Is this correct?
Yes - and soon one of this will be mine...
before i studied lot's of reviews and now i just ordered my first "real" LED flashlight.
Finally i decided for the MSC20 because of the simple UI of this EDC.
I searched for a powerful and small EDC with easy UI with support for 18650.
I will give...
Thank's also from my side.
This excellent review helped choosing a suitable flashlight for me.
I was unsure
- Fenix PD32 or the new PD35
- Niteye MSC20
- Nitecore MT2C
and finally i ordered the Niteeye MSC20.
The final decision was made because of the UI - i like the easy interface of the...
