    Plastic or aluminum body?

    Ok - new materials exist and there are "good" plastic lamps. But never the less there is no plastic that has nearly the heat dissapation rate of metallic material. And heat has to be lead away e.g. by metallic insert. (affecting high-power lights) Greetz

    The weight of alu is about 2 times weight of plastic. The specific weights are: (sorry for SI units) Plastic (avg.) ~1,35 g/cm³ Aluminium ~2,70 g/cm³ Anyway i would prefer alu because of haptic and most important heat dissapation. br
