    The Official Zebralight Thread .

I wouldn't describe it as huge with such small capacities, but you're right, Eneloop Pro AA has twice the capacity of F12, but F12 has about 35% more energy than Eneloop Pro AA.

    9P satisfaction

That's really good news, as we can draw infinite current from 0V and solve the energy crisis! :P Generally, LED current is limited so as not to fry the emitter. While the current will increase as voltage drops, obviously this is neither linear nor unlimited. Estimating runtime from cell capacity...

Runtime = capacity / current (not exactly, for reasons, but close enough). In this case I used a 2.5Ah of capacity divided by 0.65A of current to arrive at an estimation of almost 4 hours: 2.5Ah / 0.65A = 3.846h.

I'm not sure what you're asking here, about the cells, the dropin, or the host. Two NiMH cells will provide 2.4V nominally, which will drive, among others', the Malkoff 3V (0.8V—3V) M31L dropin to which I linked. The product page lists the specs I described. I was talking about a 9P host only...

Passing this along for other 9P lovers. FDK HR-AU - 1.2 Volt, 2700mAh "Size A" NIMH Battery There are cheaper A cells, A Size Nimh A Type 17500 1.2V 2500mAh, which can't be too bad, but FDK rules. To avoid confusion, here is a very worthy "for instance," 200Lm 0.65A ~4 hours, but there are...

    Lumens Factory E-series bodies

I celebrate your incan E choice. Some LED comes into the same league as incan, but IMO, is not in the same ballpark, not yet, perhaps not ever, and the only compelling LED choices I see for E is what I would term custom work from Tana, Malkoff or Oveready; worthy product, but it is an...

    Coronavirus - II

I think this may help understanding why modern vaccines can not infect the vaccinated with the very virus they aim to prevent. chillim already seems to have covered why the polio vaccine is different, that in aggressive attempts to eradicate polio globally, many in Third World counties require a...

Seeking the best 18650 batteries available on Amazon US store

I may be seeing things, but seems to be a belief not strictly true that the best cells have protection circuits, or that with a protection circuit one is safer, glazing over the fact that protection circuits are only necessary on ICR cells (LiCo or LiCoO2). When LiCo cells drop below 2.5V they...

    Lumens Factory E-series bodies

Mark from Lumens Factory posts in this thread, so he'll know, and I vaguely remember reading something about it in a recent thread with a simple solution, something about a spring I believe. Point is, someone knows. I just looked, and searched, I can't find the thread or remember the details...

    single AA flashlight usa made?

Good call, most of their products are made in Asia. Article is from 2014 and there is a quote saying that "the company is planning to move some production to the United States, possible [sic] to Oregon, within the next year or two." So it is possible some of their products are now manufactured...

    Update on Lithium chemistries

If you say so, but personally, I have never seen cells labeled ICR, IMR, INR or IFR that were anything but LiCo, LiMn, LiNiMn, and LiFePO4 respectively. Except maybe one major label... KeepPower's IMR labeled cells I saw HKJ note they were hybrids, but that doesn't mean that they are not also...

    List of sub-CR2 size lights

Hello 2015, when there were few enough tiny lights to list. Browsing Fasttech, I noticed Fenix has, or had at least, some 10180 lights, the Fenix UC02, in at least a few ano colors, and the UC02SS in stainless. Also seen at Fasttech in 10180: Blackwater Kite in a few ano colors and stainless...

    Coronavirus - II

LOL They don't actually work all those hours. There is a book they go by with standard hours listed per job, which they use for billing labor, whether they work all those hours or not. You're probably aware, IOW, book says job takes 2 hours, but the mechanic gets it done in 45 minutes, still...
