This interesting test has come to an end, AACycler posted this:
Thank you for this nice test, AA Cycler!
[edited my own wrong calculation]
If you look at total mAh extracted it looks less bad. For 20mA trickle only ~4% less extracted Ah and for 80% of the cycles (up to 100mOhm) you have more...
Thank you for the cool test AACycler.
Previous tests with these batteries showed 261 and 288 cycles to 100mOhm impedance.
Quick overview/guess:
Trickle - cycles (up to 100mOhm)
100 - ~160
050 - ~190 (guess)
020 - ~210 (guess)
000 - ~270
Based on my guessing that will mean that trickle...
I just ordered the MC3000 and then read this thread, haha.
But... so far only promises, no pictures or proof the product will be there (for that price). Would be cool if it did...
Ah, thank you for posting more information, also thank you for doing these test. :)
If the image on their website about TwiCell is true it can go 9000 cycles before reaching 80%, haha, wow!

I spotted this battery at AACycler website that seems to be very stable and going strong: http://aacycler.com/battery/aa/fdk-hr-aault/
Could this be a measurement mistake or is this battery really performing this good (so far)?
As far as I know, no other battery has such a straight line for so...
Very interesting results after more than 100 cycles:

It looks to me that the trickle charging a LSD NiMH AA at a moderate 20mA is not that deadly as I read/thought.
The old Amazon Basics Pre-Charged (AA) had quite less total cycles than for example Eneloop according to: http://aacycler.com/battery/aa/
Not sure how they perform now and how AA performance translates to AAA performance, also the total cycles says nothing about shelf-life.
Thank you for the tests. Cool that you also added a -20 degrees Celsius test. So it "lost" around ~33% in capacity? That is normal performance for LSD AA batteries? I got nothing to compare it to... :)
The graph of the -20 degrees Celsius can be more useful if the voltage range is the same as...
So far, after around 50 cycles, the capacity and internal resistance haven't changed that much. I expected worse results. Let's see what will happen when we reach 100 cycles. :D
Thank you for all the work you did! :)
Would be awesome if you could test a Tesla battery in 2019, like the new 21700 from the Model 3. Probably too difficult to get or too expensive, but interesting.
Edit: According to this test (2015)...
Cycle tests are not perfect, but can give an indication of performance.
Ageing is more difficult to test, but perhaps with increased temperate and short storage this can give predictions of long term storage/ageing.
Thank you for the information.
This line is double: "The cables can have different thickness and some cables includes the marking and approval of the actual cable used."
I definitely need to buy some stack-able banana plug cables. Does it matter which ones I buy? Is there a large quality...
