    Didn't know that. I have a black and an all steel one as well, decent pens that hold up well. Not a disaster if it get "borrowed" at work either (one of the reasons I don't use a Montblanc Meisterstuck at work ;))

    Surefire L1 mod

    A cut down Quark xp-e reflector and a xp-e also works well in a 1.-3. gen L1. Will try some other combinations later to see what I prefer.

    I have the ugly green brother (Milky did mine with a neutral MC-E and etched the emitter dome to remove the doughnut in the beam) The black one is still stock with the LuxV and 18650 compatible body :D

    Opportunity to buy HDS EDC

    If you intend to swap out the emitter then a plain U60 is best, cheapest ultimate you can get. Great lights when updated, outdated with their stock lux 3 emitter.

    Contact Princeton tec and they will replace your Apex with the newest version using a x-pg emitter and better plastic housing. Otherwise Little Monkey makes great lights, but the price is a lot higher (worth it if you use it a lot imho)

    Installed Nichia 219 into Surefire U2, now top 3 modes are all max brightness...???

    Milky did this with mine as well and the beam is very nice.
