Well I went by the local coleman outlet store and looked at the K2 version that the cree will replace.....it was bright as hell!! so the cree version should be a real winner and longer running to boot.......thanks coleman..and my cree stock is up $18. a share over my purchase price..way to go...

    Led throw on a budget

Well I will leave the best throw for the buck recomendations to other CPF er's with more experience. that said the best price for 3 volt lithium's can be had at www.amondotech.com $1.00 each. he even sells 2&3 cell battery clusters for larger lights with no mis matched voltage...

Just ordered a L2D-CE from Fenix Store!!!

WELL, I've had mine for quite a while now and it's absolutely one of my favorite light's.....bright as hell and easy to feed...I waited patiently(yeah right!) for fenix store to stock the L1D-CE bodies and ordered one for small form carry..still very bright on 1 AA ,,,and I also tried it out...

Lost ARC AAA (green led) and Fenix E0

Most of the time when all else fails,I get out my fenix lod-ce 10440 and look under the car seat, down the sides,,and if nothing feel down the back and sides of all couches and stuffed chairs,,check all coat and pants pockets...if that doesn't work get drunk........good luck

    The World's smallest, shortest tail switch flashlight & it's a Cree XR-E

How about a little hand crank on the bottom that folds out....

Another Jetbeam C-LE bites it on 3.6v RCR (was dimmer than 1 watt Lux in L1P)

Once you fry the boost circuit with a 3.6v li-ion the light is direct drive and 1.2-1.7 volt's won't light up the cree anymore.........also though I personally like my c-le it has very marginal thermal management ,under that emitter board there's goobs of thermal paste............so if you run...

    cree led light

Yep, the jetbeam c-le has a nice op reflector, no problems with this light in my case,,still have to agree with general consensus on Emilion's hijinks.....But would like to see fenix use an orange peel for donut removal..at least offer it as an option.

    jetbeam cle vs. rexlight?

I have a jetbeam c-le,I willnever runthis light with a 14500 until I mod it ,if you take a look under the emitter, all you find is goobs of thermal paste...you need to establish a metalic link to bleed heat to the body of the light..also if you fry the transistor in the boost circuit your light...

Is Fenix LOD CE still the best AAA light?

Yep, I concur. I have two lod-ce's and one lop-se and there all very nice..BUT I"m really looking forward to the NEW PEAK's WITH SSC'S! hope there out soon.
