    I have a sanyo charger model: NC-MQN04ENS

Charging stops when the voltage reaches 1.48 volts. The voltage drops off then, but they charge at a slower rate for two hours. I take them off sometime after the main charge stops. I rarely "unplug" the charger.

    Confusion of each Eneloop generation.

I purchased both Imedions and original Eneloops at around the same time. The Imedions were solid performers that reliably kept their charge, but they had higher internal resistance than the Eneloops. I used the Imedions every day in my bike lights (with a pack of Eneloops as backups) until...

    I have a sanyo charger model: NC-MQN04ENS

I also think the MH-C9000 is an excellent charger. I have three of them, all going strong. Since I've moved to Eneloops, I rarely use anything besides CHARGE mode. I charge them at 1A.

    Dropped / Damaged Battery

Off topic: Your battery labels (3 & 7) look really nice. How do you do it?

    "HIGH" cells with C9000

Perhaps it's important to begin the recharge slowly following a deep discharge. I have this one data point using 4 junk NiMH AA. Following a deep discharge (to about 0.9 to 1.0 volt at very low current) I put the cells in my C9000 and started a 1000 mA recharge, recording the impedance check...

    "HIGH" cells with C9000

Oh I do. Last one was just two days ago.

    "HIGH" cells with C9000

I only ever use flash mode on mine, so my usage is a lot less than yours (especially the one that's on solid). Perhaps your habit of recharging every 1-2 weeks is about right. It would be interesting to discharge them completely on the C9000 next time you would normally recharge them to see how...

    "HIGH" cells with C9000

I use Rayovac hybrid LSD AAA NiMH cells in my two Planet Bike Super Flashes, which I use 30 minutes per day. The batteries last for ages. I try to remember to recharge them every month (hmm, haven't done so this month so maybe I should), but they usually don't take a lot to recharge (less than...

    How to mark batteries

Re: How Much Data to Store About Your Cells Yep, that's what I have too. Diagnosed it 100%. No worries though.:twothumbs Nothing to fix here.

    NIZN VERSUS NIMH

Be careful. I've seen reports of the NiZn batteries frying Pentax flashes.

    Eneloop/Duraloop help

I so wish I could buy a set of Eneloop Tones. I'd have to buy 4 packs of course.

    Newer Energizer Rechargables?

I picked up a set of these at the local Microcenter. This was the only pack I could find. Apologies for the shadows in the photos. Out of the pack, all four batteries were 1.292 volts open circuit. Package front: http://i996.photobucket.com/albums/af90/bmbroom/Energizer2300/front_gimp.jpg...

    which charger

If all you want to do is charge AA Eneloops/Duraloops, the Maha C9000 is real easy to use: put the batteries in and take them out when the LCD on each slot says "Done". What could be easier? (You could press the button a couple of times for each, but the defaults are good and the C9000 will...

    New Panasonic extra-smart charger

Thanks. The one near me has the Maha MH-C9000, which is a very fine charger (I have one), but alas it's not what I was looking for. The only travel charger they had was a "Nuon" 1 hour charger. I hadn't heard of them before, and there was none/little information about the charger on the pack...

    New Panasonic extra-smart charger

It'd be good to get more information on this. I spent all morning trying to find a decent travel charger here in Houston without success. My definition of decent: individual circuits, 1-4 cells, 2-4 hr charge times, worldwide voltage, small, light-weight.
