Just ordered a Fenix FD65 on sale from battery junction. Been eyeing that light for a while and finally its affordable!
Also ordered a Olight sr mini intimidator as well.
I just got the Fenix LD 50 and its now my favorite light.
It's flat enough that it fits on my belt and it looks just like a smartphone in its case and doesn't draw special attention.
But what I really like is its 750 lumen high mode output and 1800 lumen turbo running off two 18650 batteries...
I like this light. It is compact for such high output and the flat shape make it wearable on my belt.
I like a light that has a sustained 750 lumen output in this size.
I own a beta model Fenix TK45 and I bought a production model after it came out because I liked it so much. That was over 4 years ago. Both lights today are still working flawless and the TK45 is my daily go-to house light. The switch on mine works fine. Hope that helps.
I also did a Youtube...
I flashed my zebralight into my eyes once and got what is called a "ocular headache" induced from the light that lasted close to half an hour. Was a really weird experience along with seeing light burn spots in the eye also
When I work on my car I use the Streamlight Knucklehead AA model, running 4 Eneloops. Its a great work light that has an wide beam, an adjustable head, hook/magnet on the back and a stable base so its the one I keep in my car.
Re: Fenix TK40 Switch: How does it work?
If it is that critical to you for a light to work,
get a backup light. For example cavers carry at least two for backup.
