Where did all the oldtimers go.

I don't think I'm an oldtimer yet. Maybe in another 9 years. As for me, I hang out on Reddit /r/flashlights more often than I browse here nowadays. But I still come back "home" every once in awhile to seek more juicy lumens gossip.

SHOT Show 2018 with mehh POLL

Re: SHOT Show 2018 with fun POLL I'd be happy to attend a meetup. But that's about as far as I can go, sadly no credentials. :(

Armytek Wizard Pro XHP50 V3 field use review.

This is my personal favorite flashlight for now. It has been to the top of several mountains and peaks, literally into an ice crusted alpine lake, across the Mojave in July, canyoneering up a river, through the NYC subway system, on patrol and SAR... no failures yet. The blinky button light...

Seattle area 2015 fall meet-up - "It's getting cold" edition.

Guess we should start the discussion of a PNW spring get together. If no one has had contact with skeptic in awhile, we may need to talk of some alternative locations. We've done the park in Seattle a couple times. I have an idea for a state park down here not far from PDX. Thoughts...

What added functions would you like to see in 4Seven's Smart Lights?

My immediate and first thought which prompted me to log in for the first time in over a year was better, more usable/ practical quality light and color. My next thought, of course is 18650 quark smart light. Beyond that give the user actual low level programming options for the light. I want...

    Nitecore EA11 First Impressions

It is not a bad light for the price, so although I may sound critical, overall I would recommend it if you have proper expectations. It is a good light for someone who is not as picky as I am.

    Nitecore EA11 First Impressions

Here's a quick rundown of the Nitecore EA11 after a day of use. I bought the light due to it being a single AA form factor light with a claimed 900 lumen output. Finally, I thought a mass produced light made to take advantage of IMR cell technology. :hitit: So first impressions: Definitely in...

Seattle Area 2013 Spring Candle Power Forum Get Together at the Barn

I haven't made it up for awhile. l'll do my best to be up this spring! I agree doing potholes was great, but we're likely to get a better turn out if we stay on the I5 corridor. That said, i'm always up for going and doing a camping trip with the group in addition. So, shall we ask Skeptic to...
