Brightest small light for police work

As lexina mentioned earlier, I also recommend the SureFire 2 (123) cell platform to get the most bang-for-the-buck-vs-real-estate on the Sam Brown. Quite honestly, it's a no-brainer to have two lights available for uniform duty; one compact and riding on the belt, one large (rechargeable) and...

    The L1-PR-T Mod a la McGizmo-style…

To give you an idea of the type of flashlights I prefer to use, I normally have the following available to me at any given moment (I’m talkin’ about a grab-bag here): a SureFire A2, an Arc4+, a Streamlight SL-20XP, a SureFire 10X, and previously, a SureFire L1 – there’s a common theme here, or...

What's the brightest LED flashlight available NOW?

Re: What\'s the brightest LED flashlight available NOW? regularguy - as others have mentioned, I would have to agree that the SNII fits your description the best, and they do show up from time to time in B/S/T. My unofficial runtime "test" was more of an accident - constant-on while working on...

Arc4+rev2 EZ fix for hard switch problems

[ QUOTE ] 4. For a Permenant solution, apply a blob of solder to bottom of gold disc to thickness (.033- .066) depending upon lightness of switch pressure desired. [/ QUOTE ] A HUGE thumbs-up to cy & mut - I went for the ol' blob of solder trick and it's turned my Arc4+ Rev2 switch into a much...

    Arc 4+ Rev 2 Delivered

I had a suprise door-knock this afternoon and found that FedEx delivered in record time from Tempe, Arizona I've never owned or had an opportunity to put the original Arc4+ through a test run, but in comparison to my LSH-P, my new Arc4+ Rev2 is a major upgrade. Looks like I found a...

    Something good is coming.

I think Wasabe got the first part right... the Uni-body power pack similar to what McG had been working on... and second, I say it's the tailcap assembly designed for use on the same power pack. -Jim

    Question about the downboy

I'm in the dark about what happened... did the circuit board get fried? Was there a ground connected to the Ecan? What would have caused this? I'm about to try my unskilled hands at a similar project and would like to know as much as possible. Thanks... -Jim

    Quick E2E Questions!

Good question... I suspect the answer lies in the circuit board configuration one chooses to run. The safe, and most efficient (according to Wayne Y.) would be a BB400 or BB500 circuit board with a 1W LS (on a single 123 cell or @ 3v). -Jim
