H13 Philips Visionplus not available in EU?

Good question, it's a Ski-Doo snowmobile, made in Canada, but the exports (mine) are made in Finland with the same parts, and I do believe the headlights themself had a Hella sticker, made in Mexico. So I guess that explains it all  I have not used the sled in proper dark yet, but the...

H13 Philips Visionplus not available in EU?

Interesting info, thanks for posting! And just to clarify, you can buy OEM style H13 in EU, just not the +***% stuff.

H13 Philips Visionplus not available in EU?

Does anyone know why the H13 Philips VisionPlus lamps are not available in EU, while H1, H4 and H7 are? Is it not possible to approve this lamp in EU, or is it just the EU market that is too small for that particular lamp? It also appears that Osram don't offer any upgraded H13 lamps in EU

Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view - New pics added!

Re: Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view Where did I say equal amount of lumens? I thought it was both obvious and implied you have to compare two lights with the same candela/throw but different beam angle. For all practical purposes, a 1 Mcd "narrow beam" light will throw exactly as far as...

Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view - New pics added!

Re: Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view No. Lux is lux, in fact, a typical reflector light will "benefit" from distance. But that belong to the more technical aspects of the subject. No, they measure it at 25 meters: https://www.peakbeam.com/resources/faq/ If they measured right at the...

Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view - New pics added!

Re: Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view The sun will blind you too. Doesn't come with warnings labels. Here is the thing, it all boils down to distance, and it doesn't take much distance at these levels either. A "measly" 1 Mcd light at 1 meter distance, is MORE intense (more lux) than a 12...

Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view - New pics added!

Re: Acebeam W50 LEP flashlight first view The candela alone isn't an issue at these levels, you for instance have the Maxabeam with 12 Mcd that has been on the open market for decades. The laser part on the other hand can be a problem many places due to mostly old regulations that hasn't been...

    When is enough, enough?

The reason I stopped buying high performance LED lights many years ago, is the fact that nothing great and revolutionary has come on the market for what, 5 years? They still have the same heat issues, low runtimes, and the throwers just keep getting bigger. it's the same old all the time. The...

103 Mcd Xenon Flashlight Project - BFF

Re: 1?? Mcd Xenon Flashlight Project - BFF So I saw a comment on why I didn't do anything to reduce spill light. For instance I could have installed so called spill rings or just a tube over the lamp. Well, it would have been nice, but not really worth the effort because the BFF doesn't spill...

    Wobbly 12v plugs

Is this a standard cigarette lighter plug? I would simply start by replacing the plug with something better quality or atleast just a new one. You could also wrap some tape around it to make it a tighter fit. But do not wrap it with any aluminum foil or similar as that probably will fall off...
